“Exciting facts, easy read and the price is right. Don’t miss this one, folks. It’s a WINNER.” -Charlotte C.

A recently read notebook from the Western Front in 1918 forms the basis for the first third of this ebook, “Over There: A Doughboy in France, 1918.” See what it was like to be on the front line on Armistice Day, November 11, 1918.

Maryland In The Civil War,” the second portion, traces the bravery of Governor Hicks, who kept Maryland, a critically important border state, from joining the South as the Civil War began. Then the bravery of Marylanders on both sides was tragically tested at Antietam, Gettysburg, and other battlefields.

My interest in American military history began when I read that an ancestor had fought in a seventeenth century colonial war that I had never heard of – King Philip’s War, a conflict that nearly wiped out English settlements in New England. When western Massachusetts was the frontier, in 1675-1676, settlers fought for their lives. That interest led naturally to further exploration of regional conflicts, including the French and Indian War (1754-1760), where a very young provincial colonel named George Washington first made his reputation, nearly losing his life in the process.

A young nation made many errors in the War of 1812 (1812-1815), although the conflict ended with both Canada and the United States as strengthened nations. Some young officers made their early reputations then, coming to prominence in the Mexican War (1846-1848). while the Spanish-American War (1898) heralded our coming to age as a potential world power. These five conflicts comprise “America’s Unknown Wars,” which concludes the volume. Each has its fascination – as do the lesser conflicts, important in their day – such as King William’s War at the end of the 17th century – which paved the way for our national identity.

Whether staving off a winter Indian attack at Deerfield in 1703, fighting at Antietam in 1862, or manning a lonely Signal Corps post on a Western Front hilltop in 1918, these stories are about American military heroes. They contain the richness of our national heritage. Thank you for letting me share them with you.

Memories are worth more than money. Or are they?

Former teacher turned reporter Deena Sharpe craves more adventure than covering dull city council meetings in the small town of Maycroft, Texas. But when she follows a hunch to investigate a story lead, she finds a dead body and becomes suspect number one.

To make matters worse, a new psychic in town has residents on edge. Strange happenings multiply as quickly as the list of murder suspects, and Deena finds herself with more adventure than she had bargained for. No pedicure is too painful and no dumpster is too deep as Deena seeks to unveil the killer before anyone else gets hurt.

Sharpe Mind, Book 3 in the Cozy Suburbs Mystery series, offers readers a healthy dose of intrigue along with a generous sprinkle of humor.

Parallel universes do exist, and they are more horrifying then our worst nightmares

A theoretical physicist working as a secret agent must escape imprisonment in an alternative universe in order to save Earth.

Dr. Clarisse Hull is a brilliant theoretical physicist living in a world of schemes and hidden peril. Her revolutionary research manages to prove the existence of alternative universes, and she uses Quantum Physics to create portals in time space, which lead to other worlds. Unfortunately, she can’t present the core of her work, which is classified as Top Secret and owned by the government, just like herself. This is because Clarisse is a secret black ops agent, and has been one all of her adult life.

Horror, science, spirituality, romance and action come together in a thrilling visionary fiction novel that will catch you from the very first page.

Clarisse’s university doesn’t believe her claims and ends up denying her tenureship and firing her. However, the denizens of the alternate reality she reached do recognize her achievement, and they grab her up faster than you can say, “lead our army and take over planet Earth.”

Now Clarisse finds herself captive in an alternative universe, desperately searching for her way home from a sadistic empire across sub-molecular frontiers. She must save herself, in order to save everyone on Earth. Along the way she will encounter breathtaking adventure and hideous betrayal, but also find the love of her life.
