He may have super powers, but his is no hero’s story…

For someone who has no idea how he acquired his special abilities, all Daniel wants is to live a simple, emotionally detached life. He has a quiet day job, a solo night job and no social life to speak of, and that’s just the way he likes it.

That is until Olivia King, a woman from a past he’d rather leave behind, talks her way back into his life and he discovers that he is neither strong nor fast enough to fight off the attraction. Just as he finally accepts that she could be a permanent fixture in his life, Olivia disappears and he upends New York City to try and save the day.

But when being honorable doesn’t get him results, Daniel yields to the dark pull of his powers, committing unspeakable acts in order to rescue the only person he’s trusted with his secrets. And just when his life could not possibly get more complicated, a psychic delivers some damning news that will pit his own happiness against the safety of those around him.

Michael was recently divorced, and that fact along with his good looks and boyish charm made him a target, a bulls eye in fact, for every single woman who worked with him at his brokerage firm. He could have had anyone he desired, even the most attractive among them, and at any time. There was one problem though. He was so disappointed and depressed by the many failures in his life, not only did he not consider himself to be worthy of their attention, he was too blind to even recognize it.

Jennifer on the other hand was a woman who couldn’t possibly ignore the attention paid to her by men. She couldn’t be classified as good looking. No, she could never be classified as anything other than stunning. Sadly however, her beauty served to unjustly complicate her life rendering it a living hell and causing her to have to constantly run from very sinister elements pursuing her.

These two virtuous yet troubled individuals meet under the most unusual of circumstances and begin an amazing journey together that has them struggling to find happiness while at the same time trying to stay alive.

One cold, foggy morning in January, 1921, a five-masted schooner in full sail plowed into Diamond Shoal in the infamous Graveyard of the Atlantic. Known to history as The Ghost Ship, her officers and crew were not on board and their bodies never washed ashore. The only living thing on board was a six-toed cat. Also, her anchors and lifeboats were missing. Six agencies investigated the mystery, but it was never solved.

Ninety years later, Ann Gavrion travels to Cape Hatteras to get over the loss of her fiancé in an airplane crash. She meets the enigmatic, yet charming, Lawrence Curator on the beach. Behind her she hears the cries of villagers. “Shipwreck!” A surfman runs up and shouts that the missing schooner, her sails set, is aground on the shoal. Ann recognizes the enormous ship from a photograph she’d seen the night before.

So begins her journey back to 1921 with the man the Navy sent to investigate the grounding of the great ship. When Lawrence and Ann solve the mystery, Ann must return to her world. On the very beach where she’d begun her voyage with Lawrence, she meets his great-grandson, Rod. Exhausted, wet, she spills an account of her fabulous sea adventure. He calls her a charlatan and accuses her of using his famous ancestor to write a first person account of the tragedy for her magazine. How many times, how many ways, must she prove that her voyage was real to Rod and the unbelievers of the world?

@Christine…..if you purchased a book (or anything from and don’t like it, or it was priced as free, but left a charge, then just go to your account page.
Find the book & price from your list of purchases, and to the far right, is a pull-down button, with choices of what you need to do with that book, and why.

Just choose whatever is appropriate, click on the link, and will refund the price to your CC, and pull the book off your account, and your kindle.

If that doesn’t work for you, call directly, give them your account number, and someone can remove the book for you! I’ve found them to be extremely patient, and they easily can see that I ONLY “buy” the Free books, nothing else. They don’t treat me like a “mooch”, but treat with complete respect and courtesy.

If there is a book I want to purchase, and it’s already on the site, but it costs $$$, then go to visit that book every day. I think you can even add it to your “”Wish List” for a future purchase.

It seems that how many visits a book gets, the more likely it will be featured as a free, or highly discounted book in the future. Good luck!!

I recently “purchased” free books, because at the time I clicked buy, it was “0” “free” but at the end of the day I had charges on my card??? what’s that about? Not going to do this anymore… especially when you don’t know that you’ve paid for something until after the fact!
