Perhaps your mother didn’t entertain at home, or perhaps she was bad at entertaining and you grew up with a fear of entertaining others. Thankfully, I grew up in a house where entertaining was frequent and the guests always left happy. It’s a great feeling when you know you have made an evening or an event enjoyable, or perhaps even memorable for someone, and that’s where the art of entertaining comes in. Many of us dread entertaining and the whole idea of having guests over and trying to make that time enjoyable can seem daunting, but believe me, its easier than you think. This short guide to entertaining takes a step-by-step approach to successful entertaining and covers topics like invitations, menu planning, preparing for guests, and table settings among others. Entertaining at home can be a lot of fun both for you and your guests, and does not have to be difficult, and that is what this guide will walk you through.
