Sam thinks she’s months away from freedom. After spending her life in a secret school, rented out to the rich and powerful as a paranormal spy, she is ready to head to college like any normal eighteen-year-old.

Only Sam isn’t normal. She reads minds. And just before her big going-away party, she links to the mind of a young man who changes everything.

Drake wasn’t raised as a ‘Rent-A-Kid.’ He was kidnapped and taken there by force. But his exceptional physical strength and powers of mind control make him very dangerous, especially to Sam.

When they meet, Sam is forced to face the truth of her situation, and to acknowledge that not all is as it seems in her picture-perfect world. For what awaits her on her eighteenth birthday isn’t a trip to college, but an unexpected nightmare from which she may not be able to escape.

To survive, they must work together.

But will their powers be enough to save them before it’s too late?

Evolved Publishing brings you a rare glimpse into ancient Native American culture, in the Historical Fiction novel, “Circles,” by Ruby Standing Deer.
With much of the world still undiscovered, a small band of people live a peaceful life, until the dream vision of a young boy, Feather Floating In Water, changes everything. Only nine winters old, Feather’s dreams turn his seemingly ordinary childhood into the journey of a lifetime. He must help his people face a terrifying destiny from which they cannot turn away. He must find a way to make his people listen.

Bright Sun Flower, the boy’s grandmother, guides his beginnings, teaching him about the Circle of Life, and how without it, no life can exist. But he needs a bigger push, and gets it from a grey wolf and a Great Elder. The boy’s journey leads him to discover that the Circle of Life involves all people, all living things, and not just the world he knows.

In the end, an ancient People guide the boy in his visions, toward an unexpected place hidden from outsiders.

This story is steeped in American Indian life, in their beliefs and humor, and in their love of family. It shows how we might benefit from the old ways today.

What if your Prince Charming turns out to be the Prince of Darkness?

It’s the Eighties. Everyone in London’s guzzling champagne by the bucketload, snorting mountains of coke and shagging like there’s no tomorrow. But for twenty-something Zoe Burns, the party’s over… even though she daren’t admit it. The bills are piling up, the hangovers are getting worse and the one night stands no longer do it for her.

So when she’s offered a gig as an escort to a South American millionaire while he’s on “business” in Barcelona, she thinks, “what the hell?”…

But life with Raoul is not all champagne and roses. Raoul’s an unreconstructed chauvinist, a macho bully, and a voyeur. But none of these things are the problem.

The problem is, Zoe should run a mile. But she can’t. Mesmerised by the seductive Raoul and the high life he’s introduced her to, she finds herself falling for him.

By the time Zoe discovers the true nature of Raoul’s “business”, it’s all too late. Little by little, Zoe is drawn into an underworld of
crime, drugs and sexual obsession, a world where the most dangerous addiction of all may be to love itself.

A New Psychological Thriller from Award-Winning Author Andrew Biss

As a boy, Horatio Higgins was ignored by the other children, but that didn’t stop him having lots of friends…friends only he could see and whom he’d regale with tales of his fantastical exploits. Eventually, though, his parents became concerned at the inordinate amount of time their son appeared to spend talking to himself and took him for treatment, which, in time, proved successful…almost. One friend remained. Unfortunately it was the spiteful one.

Years later, living alone in his tiny London flat, Horatio’s loneliness is mitigated only by his acid-tongued friend and the company of what he affectionately refers to as “my wife”. After losing his job, however, his life begins a rapid downward spiral…that is, until he meets a sweet, impressionable young woman named Nore. As their relationship lurches unsteadily forward, Horatio finds himself struggling against a riptide of conflicting realities he’s ill-equipped to cope with. Can Nore save him from himself or will she, too, be dragged into a world where the line between fantasy and reality becomes increasingly and perilously blurred?

Weaving together dark humour with shocking, unsettling twists, Schism is sure to stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

Happiness Begins With Sharing

Hugo is a little starfish. He finds his life dull. Tired of feeling sad, one day he sets off to find happiness. After much searching, he discovers something that makes his heart do a somersault! Sharing with others is the only thing that makes him truly happy.

Adults strive to teach children to share with their communities. Encouraging children to give teaches them empathy, as well as a sense of social responsibility. Children can feel empowered by giving and sharing with others.

Meet HUGO, a little starfish with a big heart and a curious mind.
In very story of the series he learns about a different character trade/ attitude.

The first book of HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH is an
Award-Winning Finalist in the CHILRDEN’S MIND/ BODY/ SPIRIT category of the USA “Best Books 2011” Awards.

The key theme behind the HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH series is that building character based on a positive attitude leads to a happy, self-confident and successful human being. I have written this exciting series of children’s books to help educate children about their feelings, their attitude, their choices, and the consequences that follow.

Through his adventures, Hugo learns many valuable lessons of character, life skills, and ecological alertness – all amid the backdrop of a magical underwater world and mystical islands.

In Hugo, children, parents, and educators will discover a lovable and engaging role model with whom they can identify. Each book offers a themed vocabulary to introduce the Spanish language to the reader. Each book also comes with a number of worksheets which are downloadable at no cost on our website.

We are sure you’ll agree that life skills and character traits are two of the most important lessons to teach the young. Age-appropriate children’s books are crucial to child development and well-written books that contain a message can expand not only a child’s cognitive abilities, but also their emotional, moral, and spiritual capacities. We believe this distinctive way of sharing a “message” through the medium of an exciting narrative is what has given the books their charm.

The stories were developed in conjunction with my teaching experience at an International Baccalaureate® School and they support the different learner profiles and attitudes of the IB PYP curriculum.

This book is a great way to teach EMPATHY and the CALENDAR.
