Saturday Night Cocoa Fudge is the coming-of-age story in an era of bobby socks, poodle skirts and the freckled-faced girl that wore them. It’s also about the Deep South and sweetly flawed women who taught her what she was meant to be and what she was not meant to be.

Their corner of the world was filled with folklore, superstition, and mystical ideas. Her grandmother believed and practiced most of these, passing them onto the next generation. The little girl’s life was populated with strange relatives, quirky neighbors and mysterious bible verses that could stop the flow of blood. Being a member of this bizarre family made life worth living. These people were so fiercely loyal in their love for her, for each other, she felt they deserved to have their story told.

The Inferno: An Eyewitness account of San Diego on Fire
by Kalpanik S.
Rating: 4.8 Stars
Genre: Photo Essay
Price: $0.00 Save $4.99
Subject to change back to full price at any time.

This eBook is an Eyewitness account of the 2007 California wild fires, specifically, the Witch Creek fire. The Witch Creek fire was the first and the largest of a series of wildfires that spread across Southern California – including areas in the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties – and Northern Mexico.

The author and his family had just moved to San Diego a few months before the wild fire burned down 198,000 acres (800 square km) in his neighborhood and adjacent towns.

Wildfires are a relatively common natural occurrence in Southern California and occur naturally expected between June and October in the arid Southern California region, when the combination of the arid climate with less than 10% humidity and the fierce Santa Ana winds (also known as the Devil Winds) combine to ignite the dry forest timber and spread the resulting flames.

As human habitation has spread across the arid areas covered highly flammable “brush-lands”, the potential for catastrophe has simply becomes greater.

Zack investigates the explosion, and discovers a woman who received a mysterious package in the mail. The package had a cell phone, a key, one-hundred dollars, and the promise of a windfall. Then he learns about another woman who received an identical package. The women do not know each other. On the surface they have nothing in common. But their packages mean something else.

Zack ties the packages to the explosion. As he tries to determine how and why the women were chosen, his investigation leads him to a secluded mountain cabin where he is trapped by a blizzard and learns of a new kind of terrorism.

This story could take place in a small town or a big city. It could happen to anyone. Even you.

Follow Bruce Lee: Wing Chun modification
by Sergey Matyushkov
Rating: 5.0 Stars
Genre: Martial Arts
Price: $0.00 Save $2.99
Subject to change back to full price at any time.

Dear reader,
I would like to recommend you my unique book: “Follow Bruce Lee: Wing Chun modification”, where you can find Bruce Lee’s evolution of thinking, described in details. This book shows new ideas of Chinese martial art modification “Wing Chun”, which hasn’t been published in USA before.
Thus, I would like to talk about the traditional WING CHUN and its real application in conditions of street fighting, where there are no rules and respect for centuries-old traditions. In conditions of street fighting survival there is no referee who could stop the fight, there is no differentiation between weight categories, and perhaps there could be several opponents, not only one. It’s impossible to follow the traditional Wing Chun in conditions of street fighting! You will inevitably lose the fight, and you might be mutilated seriously. I will explain you in details the reason why Bruce Lee diverged from the traditional Wing Chun and created a modified one. This book will tell you about the reasons why Bruce Lee created his new style – the modified Wing Chun.

Really interested to read Inferno, since we lived in Escondido.. both my girls were born there.. my in-laws lived in Valley Center, which was all but destroyed in this fire..
We had all moved north of Santa Barbara by the time of this fire, but the first few pages of this book is eerie. I know that area well.
Thanks again for the opportunity to read books I didn’t even know where out there!
