What would you give up for the people you love?

When Megan Taylor, a single mother and artist, receives the shocking news that her cancer has returned, she’ll be faced with the most difficult decision she’s ever had to make. She’ll endure an emotional journey, questioning her own moral and ethical values, and the decisions she’d made long ago. The love she has for her daughter, Olivia, and her closest friends, will be stretched and frayed.

Meanwhile, fourteen-year-old Olivia’s world is falling apart right before her eyes, and there’s nothing she can do about it. She finds herself acting in ways she cannot even begin to understand. When her internal struggles turn to dangerous behavior, her life will hang in the balance.

Megan’s closest friends are caught in a tangled web of deceit. Each must figure out how, and if, they can expose their secrets, or forever be haunted by their pasts.

This is a 22,000 word collection of six stories of varying science fiction flavor. From the mild and musing, to the odd and macabre, these tales run the gamut from space opera to post-apocalyptic. The collection includes the following. The Model Universe: in which a boy finds the edge of the universe and what waits on the other side. Nothing Disappears: in which a detective discovers there’s much less to a health clinic than meets the eye. The Satisfactory Completion of Mr. Janklow: in which a planetary assassin completes his last job. The Boy In The Garden: in which the question of murder is decidedly blurred by evolution. West: in which a chance encounter with a fox sets a boy and girl free. The Ocean Won’t Burn: in which we realize it’s sometimes safer below the surface than above.

I agree, some people think they are so intelligent that some of the books don’t interest them. They are free for Pete’s sake. Get over yourself! Thanks agin for a great site.

I’ll never be able to read all the free books that I’ve downloaded to my Kindle. Thanks so much for allowing me to broaden my horizons with the variety of books available.

These free books are a gift I wouldn’t have, as much as the Kindle itself was. Thank you so much for the books and do not let the small negatives outweigh the positives you get.

Thanks for the Free Books! My first one “The Year She Fell” was really a great book. It was picked by my daughter-in-law by showing me how to use and just grabbed the first one she saw. Bless her heart!!

What is a “GREAT” BOOK? Frankly, I haven’t seen one on the free or $.99 ones. I keep looking but all I see is murder and fantasy.

I appreciate your taking the time to go and find books that may be of an interest to a wide variety of readers. I have gotten some GREAT books from here and also some not so great ones, but will always be grateful for the time and energy that is put into someone else making it a bit easier for me!
