Daphne Sheldrick devoted her life to mothering elephants.

From a young age, she was entrusted with the care of injured and abandoned animals. As an adult, she and her passionate team nurtured countless elephants back to health.

When a tiny, milk-dependent calf named Aisha arrived, Daphne faced her greatest challenge yet.

No one had ever hand-reared an elephant this young, but what she learned during their time together would revolutionize how future orphaned elephants were cared for, and fueled her dream of returning them to the wild!
