The Time Contessa is an adventure to Siena, Italy, 500 years into the past and 100 years into the future. Something has gone wrong with an historical timeline, causing a famous painting to disappear from the world’s conscious memory, surfacing only in people’s dreams.

Two members of MIT’s Chronology team, Dr. Cassandra Reilly and her colleague Jake, must go to Renaissance Siena to repair the timeline so the artist who painted the portrait of a beautiful woman known as Giuliana will ultimately live to complete it. However, the past holds many pitfalls, both dangerous and romantic, that Cassandra must stay clear of, while trying to prevent Jake falling prey to them as well.

The time-travelers’ problems follow them to the future, where love takes such a strong hold it becomes impossible to resist, and past adversaries resurface to create new threats.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

This book is the third of an excellent series. The characters were well developed, the historical details nicely described and the plot was interesting – what more could a lover of time books want! I can hardly wait for her next book.

You don’t have to read the series. Each book can stand alone. I would recommend it for the pleasure of the stories. Each takes you to a different place with the same main character and sometimes her son. GREAT READ.

I really love the book, The Time Contessa, actually I have to say the entire series. All three books are so well written that the minute you begin to read the first chapters you wont let up until you finished reading the book. I hope that Georgina Young-Ellis will continue the series with Cassandra Reilly having new interesting time travel adventures. Best wishes and keep up the good work.

The Time Contessa is the third book in this series, and I highly recommend all three. Every time I finish one of these books, I feel like I’ve lost a good friend. The Time Contessa, like the previous two books, is artfully and skillfully written and is sure to please reading fans of time travel, adventure, and romance.

Georgina’s books in the Time Mistress series are my new found favorites. This is the 3rd book from this series that I have read and enjoyed. Georgina writes in a style that captures my interest from page one. I finish one and immediately look to buy another.

About The Author

I’m a California girl by birth, a New Yorker at heart, and a Southwest desert-dweller in essence. I’m a little hard to pin down, because I like to be in motion, my life in flux.

My dad was a commercial artist, successful, but stressed out and, after suffering a heart attack, was advised to slow down. His hometown of Tucson was more conducive to relaxation than L.A., so we picked up and off we went to start a new life, again.

Being a gregarious sort of person, I quickly found new friends and established a pleasing existence for myself. I did miss the ocean, but I found a substitute in the desert and mountains. My parents built a rambling home for their four children on six lush acres of high desert (where they still live), and I found sanctuary in the solitude and beauty of that land. Often I would sneak off to some hidden spot to think, meditate (in my own way) and write poetry.

Now that I’m a novelist, I realize part of me has always been drawn to writing, ever since that twelve year old on the beach wrote her first poem. All of my loves in life seem to be merging and integrating: home, family, language, (I still speak and study Spanish and Italian), acting, teaching and writing. Throw in a dash of political activism and a spiritual life and you have me in all my glory. And by the way, if you love Jane Austen, romance or fantasy, check out The Time Baroness. It’s a book I wrote for myself. It might sound like a chick book, but dudes like it too!

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Georgina Young-Ellis and ENT appreciate it.
