When Mark Waters decided to be a detective, he didn’t plan to investigate ghosts.

But as he sifts through evidence of a supposed suicide by train, he learns a murder that took place eighty years ago may directly affect his case.

Six months after the strange occurrences at The Depot, there’s another murder. This time, The Library holds secrets of several murders, and the dead won’t rest until the murderer checks out too.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Read the Depot and was hooked. Enjoyed the characters and the story. Looking forward to reading more from Carmen DeSousa.

A fantastic mystery that kept me second guessing my choices of the killer until the very end. When I arrived, all out of breath and confused by the wild ride, I was shocked. And that is the exact way a well written mystery should make you feel–out of breath and mouth agape.

The unknown has always been a fascination with me. Carmen was able to pull me right into the story, trying to figure out the “whodunit”! Loved this book!

Once again, she keeps you guessing until the end. Great job, Carmen! Well done! Can’t wait to see if Detective Waters continues to solve crimes with his unique ‘friends’ and his ability to the puzzle pieces together.

I highly recommend this novel for those who love a suspense-filled, whodunit story with two very good main characters, Mark and Ashlyn. Thank you, Carmen for another super read! Keep writin’ and smilin’!

About The Author

A romantic-suspense writer, my stories overflow with romance, mystery, suspense, a hint of paranormal sometimes, and of course, tragedy. After all, what would a great story be without a tragic event setting the stage? All of my novels are sensual, but not erotic, gripping but not graphic and will make you cry, laugh, love, and hope. Although some of my titles clearly include supernatural or ghostly beings, my writing dances on the edge of the paranormal, in a genre referred to as magical realism. My hope is that as you read my stories, you’ll wonder, “Hmmm…what if?”

As most authors, I blame my leap into a full-time career as a professional writer on my love of reading. Reading has always been an escape for me. When life was rough as a child, I could always disappear into a book. But I found something else too… I discovered that writing out my thoughts was healing. Not only could I create hope for my protagonists, but I could do away with the antagonists–legally.

When I penned my first novel, ‘She Belongs to Me’, I allowed only my cousin and best friend to read it. They are the reason I write. They pushed me to publish, as they felt my stories would give others who’ve experienced tragedies hope. So now, even though I still write for me, I mainly write for my readers who continually encourage me that my words touched their soul.

Most of my novels share some of my favorite hobbies, mostly, anything to do with the great outdoors. I rarely spend my days off at a movie theatre or the mall. In fact, I hate shopping, and my hubby would prefer to do anything other than take me to a movie that I’d already read the book. 🙂 Also, we both would rather read a book on the beach–or a coffee shop if it’s raining–and if the weather is really nice, we love to go kayaking and hiking

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Carmen DeSousa and ENT appreciate it.
