A tragic past defines her. Will love save her or destroy them both?

“Here’s what I know: Death abducts the dying, but grief steals from those left behind.”

No one in their right mind swallows down painkillers like candy and slings back chocolate martinis like water at their husband’s funeral. But I’m not most people. I’ve had more than my fair share of funerals for dead loved ones. If they crowned the grief-stricken based on the numbers of losses in a ten-year period, I’d take that title in a landslide. Mom and Dad. My fiancé Bobby. And now my husband Evan.

So I drank too much and overdosed on discarded meds and ended up in the arms of a stranger. My best friend consoles me that this stuff happens, but I don’t think so. At some point, I must have just crossed over to the dark side, and deep down, I know on some level I just wanted to end it. Truthfully? Me kissing Jake Winston seemed like a fine way to go out of this world. A fine way, indeed.

Because the truth is, as I’ve so painfully discovered, nothing lasts forever. Not love. Not life. Not me. Nothing. Death takes it all, eventually. So why did Jake have to save me? And, make me feel again? Why does he see me even when I don’t see myself? Somebody needs to tell me why.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

I love a good up and down love story and this one delivered.

Highly emotional story that tugs at your heart strings with a main character who shows remarkable growth throughout the book.

This book is going to make you cry and laugh and cry some more but its definitely worth the roller coaster ride of emotions.

Truly showed how strong the human spirit can be. Having had major tragedy in my life as well, I felt that the author did such a good job of expressing true and real emotion.

This is seriously a sad, sad book, but an authentic look at grief and love. I believe anyone that has ever loved someone, lost them, and found a life and another love will devour Seeing Julia.

About The Author

Dark. Edgy. Love. And angsty.

Were we describing me? Or my fiction? Sorry.

I drink too much…coffee, not enough water. I swear too much for God and my mother, and I slip these into my fiction. Sorry.

I’m impatient, a perfectionist, a wordsmith, a dreamer, which ends up being good and bad. I’m a workaholic; ask my fam-dam-ily. I’ve written four novels in as many years: “Seeing Julia”, “Not To Us”, “When I See You”, and my latest release “This Much Is True”.

If you love angsty, unpredictable love stories, I’m yours.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Katherine Owen and ENT appreciate it.
