Inspired by her father and his pretty young wife, novelist Claire Abney allows her imagination to run wild and pens a bestselling thriller.

However, as Glen Abney suffers multiple freak accidents, she wonders exactly where the prose stops and reality begins. Claire screens her family from the prying eyes of success with a masculine pen name and her handsome editor, her shill for photo ops and book signings.

But her father’s unexpected death and bungled attempts on her own life, force her to admit the strategy may have backfired. Now, with the help of her brother and Max, her dreamy frontman, she must separate truth from fiction before life imitating art becomes deadly.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Hooked from the first chapter, I felt like I was on a rapid journey full of surprises. The fast paced story, had many unexpected twists and turns, that kept me turning the pages quickly. I finished it in record time. The characters were strong, the story plot well thought out, and every page was filled with challenges to the main characters along with mysterious life threatening happenings If you like a story filled with mystery, suspense and action, you will enjoy this book immensely.

I loved this one!Wow! Relative evil is a real page turner! So suspenseful and very creepy yet clean. The romance in the book is great too. Love the chemistry between Max and Claire. I would highly recommend. I truly could not put it down and could not believe all the twists and turns in this one. I only put it down to stop food from burning or doing things the family thought they just could not wait on. I am looking for more from you!!!!

This book is so amazing. It is well thought out and written. The suspense of it all kept me from being able to put it down. The tragedy along with constant moving, being on the run, trying to solve the biggest mystery, but trying not to get killed in the process…wow! It’s definitely a must read!!!

This was a creepy book in a completely awesome way. There were so many twists and turns that I found myself suspecting everyone of being one of the bad guys by the end. Well, almost. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, something else would happen to make me wonder.

About The Author

Debra “DJ” Erfert, a winner of a 2017 Kindle Scout campaign, has authored five published novels, three novellas, and one Kindle World’s novella, and several short stories. She writes what her alter-ego dictates. Maybe it’s her super-ego. In her Window of Time series, Lucy is fearless and strong and has a secret power—all qualities Debra envies. In real life, spiders terrify her, which is why they appear on a regular basis in her books. “Confront your fears, and have your characters squish them!”

Debra uses the pen name DJ Erfert for her paranormal suspense/thriller books, and Debra Erfert for her romantic suspense/mystery books. She is an award-winning fine artist who lives in a southwest desert city in Arizona with her husband, Mike, a retired police lieutenant, where the average summer temperatures are well above 100 degrees—truly hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. After raising two Eagle Scouts, she now spends her time writing and shooing her polydactyl cats away from her keyboard.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Debra Erfert and ENT appreciate it.
