Despite the fact that she built her life around them, her daughter and husband have created lives that no longer include her.

Thought provoking, sometimes frightening, and often funny, Life Is But a Dream is the powerful story of a woman redefining herself and taking control of her life as she struggles to understand her present circumstances. Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

The word which stays with me when I think about this book is `powerful.’ Like me, you will probably find that this book is not what you expected. But you will find it striking, moving, exciting, powerful and very, very readable. Don’t miss out!

This is a book about everyday people and the problems we face. I found the characters very believable and unique. I found myself laughing and crying at times and it played on my emotions. I certainly recommend this book. I really hated for this book to end but there certainly could be a sequel to this one. A good story that you will enjoy.

Grace Adams is an unlikely heroine but her quirks and weaknesses are what make her so easy to identify with. There is humor, sadness and suspense, but ultimately it is about a regular women realizing her own strength and value. I hope Grace will be back in future stories.

This book captured me from beginning to the end. I had a very hard time putting the book down. You never knew what would happen next. The characters really come to life and the reader is easily able to put themselves into their shoes. I have to admit that I have read many books in my life, but have never laughed and cried so hard as I did while reading this book. I am very much looking forward to more books by this author.

I honestly have never been the book worm. I have always said ” I would rather go out and explore on my own than reading a book about someone else exploring.” I am now on chapter 9 and this book is awesome! I really actually want to read it.. that is rare for me! I feel like I am watching a movie when I read it.. the author makes it easy for you to visualize everything that is going on. So far I have both laughed and cried while reading this novel. I can’t wait to see what the final outcome is!

In 2011, Cheryl gathered a group of women writers together to create the first Indie Chick Anthology. A NOTE FROM CHERYL: Thank you so much to all of my readers. YOU have made a life-long dream come true. I spend my days (and nights!) writing because of your continued support. And I would like to offer special thanks to those of you who have taken the time to leave reviews, send emails, and visit my website. Your kind words mean more to me than you will ever imagine.
One of my readers (Kristyn) quoted J.D. Salinger on her Facebook page – “What really knocks me out is a book that when you are all done reading it, you wish the author who wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much though.” She then added…”I had this happen so I found her on Facebook. Thank you for being you Cheryl Shireman!” How can I ever top that?

I have felt that way, too. I have read books by certain authors and felt that I knew them better – almost as if we were friends and they just shared a very precious secret – let me see a small piece of their heart. I love that about writing – how it can connect total strangers together in a way that feels intimate and profound. So – again – thank you for reading my books and making that connection with me. I am so very grateful.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Cheryl Shireman and ENT appreciate it.
