William Brookshire is just a simple college student, out collecting a couple of items for a late night rendezvous with the girl who used to be the love of his life, when a spontaneous street race turns his life upside down.

He knows it isn’t his fault when the driver of the Porsche runs a red light, knows it isn’t his fault when the driver dies of the injuries he sustained during the horrible accident, but William just can’t make himself believe he is completely free of responsibility. And when a vision of the driver starts appearing in his room, starts stalking him around campus, it threatens to drive him mad.

From the author of the Pandora’s Children collection of short stories and the Novella Dogs of War comes this 18,000 word novella that explores how guilt, real or perceived, can threaten to tear a fragile mind apart.

Since this is a brand new book and there are no reviews yet, here are some reviews from Convissar’s other books to give you an idea about the high quality of his writing: (Please leave a review for King Of The Merge after reading – Thanks!)

“I thought [his] stories were well written and developed (but not overly drowned in detail), and conveyed the “twilight zone/ Stephen King” supernatural feeling that has been missing in modern thriller.” Stephen Ames from an Amazon review of Dark Interludes

“Convissar’s enthusiasm for his craft is evident in his introduction and I think he achieves his goal of writing engaging short stories that rely on psychological manipulation of perception more than descriptive shock value.” Shelleyrae review from an Amazon review of Pandora’s Children Books 3

“The writing is breathtakingly precise and painful.” Natalie Casetti from Amazon review of Dogs of War

About The Author

Not much interesting to say about myself. I was born on Fort Benning Army Base in Georgia in 1977 but spent most of my formative years in southern NJ, outside of Philadelphia.

I attended Tulane University in New Orleans in the late nineties, where I earned by bachelors degree in evolutionary biology, then spent the next four years trapped in scenic Newark, New Jersey, earning my DMD from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Whereas my four years in New Orleans was filled with excitement, my four years in dental school were rather dull, save for one episode, non-school related, that stands out. Have you ever been woken up on Sunday morning by someone knocking on your door? Sure, we all have. Ever opened the door and found yourself face-to-face with a pair of men in biohazard suits? Probably not. But I have.

But I digress… Now in my thirties, I find myself living back in the same zip code I grew up in, but in a different house with my own family. I have a son and a daughter and a diabetic Daschund named Friday who is prematurely going blind. But I love him anyway. When I am not filling cavities or performing root canals or extracting teeth or fabricating dentures, or writing, or playing with my kids, I am playing video games, reading comic books (yes, I am a geek and proud of it) or watching my beloved Philadelphia Phillies or less than beloved Philadelphia Eagles (why did you have to sign the dog killer?).

My favorite writers are Stephen King, Clive Barker, Neil Gaiman, Jeffery Deaver, Jim Butcher, Simon Green, and the duo of Preston and Child, both individually and when they write together.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Bradley Convissar and ENT appreciate it.
