What would you do if you woke up one morning to find that you were the only person left alive?

That’s what happens to Meg on the day after she is admitted to hospital for the birth of her child.

What follows is a fight for survival in a world where battles between good and evil constantly rage around her.

Just as Meg is about to discover the truth about this new world, she finds the rules have changed yet again, and she is back where it all began.

From the author of In a House in Yemen, In Times of Trouble and In Conversations with Strangers, “In Strange Worlds” takes the reader on a fascinating journey, where everything isn’t always what it appears to be.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Brenda Cheers “In Strange Worlds” is two maybe even three stories in one. This is a strange and beautiful book, it has all the makings of a series – in fact, it truly must continue for there are questions raised that haven’t been answered and plots that need to run their course. Fascinating.

I admire the author dedication for writing an incredible story. This story grabs my attention from the very start of the book and couldn’t put it aside till I finish it. The tone changes as the story progresses. It was a wonderful read.

I will out myself here and admit I wouldn’t normally read a book in this genre. However my opinion changed about one page in as I realized it was a story I could relate to because of the way it is told.

‘In Strange Worlds’ is an intriguing book and one that leaves you thinking for days after. That’s something that not all authors can achieve and I think Brenda will grow in strength with each new project.

This is the most fun I’ve had with a book from times immemorial. A novel need not be perfect, as long as it is entertaining and reads fast, I’m a happy bunny. I can turn a blind eye to little imperfections, which – frankly – every novel will have.
