Attorney Victoria Nelson-Lee retaliates against a conspiracy of powerful politicians and rogue state troopers who kill her husband then deceives local police to help her revenge via clever clues and notes from Greek mythology signed Artemis, the Greek goddess of hunting. Police and investigative author Mitchell Pappas team up again to solve this baffling and elusive revenge thriller. “…and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?” Shakespeare, Merchant of Venice

Ah, yes! As Lord Byron wrote – Revenge is sweet especially to women.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

This revenge thriller kept me in suspense from page one to the very end. A book you can’t put down. Would make an excellent movie.

Leodas makes his mark again with this thriller. Even though you know the murderer it is still a page turner. Revenge is so sweet!

…his best work yet, Leodas spins a modern-day mystery with the threads of ancient Greek mythology. Even with the killer revealed, the reader is propelled forward with clever intrigue and adventure. Perhaps the gods have escaped Mt. Olympus to live as mortals amongst us….

The book is a great read and full of plot surprises. It’s a story of female revenge that keeps you intrigued. The references to Greek mythology give the heroine a unique aspect to her character. And for fans of the Mitchell Pappas character, you won’t be disappointed.

ON WRITING: From a speech at my book signing of HUNTRESS at BOOK REVUE bookstore in Huntington, NY (Long Island) on 4/20/12.
A relative who had an idea for a novel asked me, “How hard is it to write a novel?”
I said, “Writing is as a lonely walk through deep woods where only you hear the sounds of the forest and only you savor its scent and the long and lonesome journey. If you succeed in reaching the end of the woods then you have become a writer…regardless of the manuscript’s future.”
Feeling guilty the next day, I called her and said, “I forgot to warn you that the writing process is addictive because you’ll find it challenging, entertaining, and satisfying. And then becomes better and easier as you learn and study the craft.”
I loved writing my novels because I found them challenging, entertaining, and satisfying. It is my hope…that they entertain you.

Gus and Carole live on Long Island and have two daughters and six young grandchildren. Gus volunteered to serve on the board of the Performing Arts Foundation of Long Island for six years, and four years at the Heart Council of Long Island, two years as chairperson.
