What if you accidentally ruined everything?

You’re on the path to the perfect life–a happy family, enough income, and a beautiful home. Then, with one tiny misstep, your vision for the future begins to collapse around you. Would you know what to do?

What if your family is already doomed?

Brian and Samantha have found the perfect home to start their family. It’s an old farmhouse in rural Maine, with plenty of character and plenty of room to grow. And they’re just in time! Before they’ve moved in, Samantha goes into labor with their first son.

With the house, they get more than they bargained for. They stumble into the clutches of a demonic parasite, just waiting to latch onto the next family. By the time they realize what is happening, their fate is already sealed. Only their love and commitment to each other will see them through. But what if they’re not strong enough?

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

I believe Ike Hamill is getting better and better at the craft of writing. I like his writing and I’ve enjoyed his books but this was the best. It was original and creative. The story was developed well and the characters were three dimensional. I couldn’t put it down.

*******

Ike Hamill never disappoints when it comes to mystery and suspense. This book had me on the edge of my seat! The characters were so alive to me that I worried about what was coming for them! I love how Hamill eases back and forth from past to present to unfold the story. Definitely a must read!

*******

This is now one of my favorite Ike Hamill novels. It was difficult to put down. The characters were interesting and the monster original. I can’t wait for his next novel.

*******

I like Ike Hamill’s books. They are dependable – generally well-written, entertaining, original. This one, though, was way more than just dependable. Fiero’s Pizza hooked me right away and kept me going. I was never sure what was going to happen next. The future and the past are interwoven, so that you have an idea of what’s to come and you wonder when hinted-at scenes occur, but it keeps you on your toes the whole time.

*******

A remarkable story. The world this book describes is confined almost entirely to what takes place in the family’s home. In fact, I think the house is as much a character in the book as the members of the family. This drives the story smoothly. I was caught up in the isolation of a family attacked by something they don’t understand. Read this one. You won’t regret it. I think it will stay with me for a very long time.
