In this humorous dark comedy series you’ll meet the Charons. They’re your typical dysfunctional family of four of the world’s best assassins. Father Michael is the former head of a covert arm of the CIA that did so many “wet” jobs it was code named “Water Works.” Mother Valerie is a legendary femme fatale whose steamy sexuality has been luring men to their demise for nearly three decades.

Then there are the twins, Seth and Olivia. While barely into their twenties, they have already delivered on several high-profile contracts. Seth is very much his father’s son and is calm and calculating. Olivia, on the other hand, has been out of control since she reached puberty. With a smart mouth, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit body and the face of an angel, combined with lethal martial arts skills, she is a force to be reckoned with.

In this episode, Olivia is asked by the Assistant Director of the CIA to infiltrate The Company and smoke out a rogue element. But when you’re six feet tall and arguable the most easily recognized and well-known female assassin in the world, it won’t be easy.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

These books are good to read on a wet day or when you are feeling down as they can make you laugh and amaze you as well. Rod does his research well and the story lines are a lot of fun. I usually rush through these books more than I do with other books because I want to see what happens next.

Rod Pennington has done it again! Right outta the gate this book will draw you in keep you interested! I love the way he writes and I love what he writes about! By far and away now my favorite author.

I have a read all The Charon Family Adventure books and absolutely adore them. I can only describe them a mixture of Mr and Mrs Smith with a bit of James Bond thrown in. Lots of humor and excitement, the characters really come to life and it is easy to get lost In the story.

I’m already starting to get itchy as I have to wait for my next guilty pleasure. These books are incredibly well-crafted and you end up rooting for a dysfunctional family of captivating characters who happened to be stone cold killers. Go figure.

Family Debt is a fun and fast-paced addition to the saga of the Charon family. I have now read it three times which may sound excessive, but I thoroughly enjoyed it each time. Rod Pennington is a master of intrigue and plot twists which generally leave me rolling in the aisles.
