“It was truly gripping! Crime whodunnits don’t get any better. I apologize to the classics, I’ve read the crime classics, I grew up on Agatha Christie, but they don’t hold a pinprick of light to this one. I LOVED IT!” Poppet – Amazon Reviewer

Assistant D.A. Carolyn Hastings has an uncanny knack for putting away criminals. With one of the best prosecution records in recent history, her future as Manhattan’s next District Attorney looks certain. But her sixth sense for winning cases threatens to work against her when she starts seeing a string of murders through the eyes of the killer.

With suspects piling up as fast as bodies, and the motives of those closest to her questionable, Carolyn doesn’t know who to trust. When the FBI assigns Special Agent Steve Williams to the case, Carolyn discloses her deepest fear – that the man she loves may be the one responsible for the city’s latest crime spree.

The only thing Steve knows for sure is Carolyn has an inexplicable psychic connection with the killer, and all the victims have one thing in common…a striking resemblance to Carolyn Hastings.

And he knows it’s only a matter of time before this psychopath knocks on her door.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

This is the first book I have read by this author but I can certainly say that it will not be the last!! I do read alot of who-done-its and this one is right at the top of my list of favorites now. I could not put it down. I even found myself sitting at my desk at work thinking about the characters and wishing I could pick my book up and keep reading.

This is my first Steve Williams novel, and I must say, I was pleased. It felt very much like looking over your shoulder all the time…it’s got enough potential perps I came to trust no one and even then I was surprised at the ending. Bravo! I’m giving it 5 stars for the sheer surprise at the end.

Another fantastic read by J.E. Taylor. The author has a way of drawing you into the characters, making their world something so fascinating that you can’t put the book down!

When I finished Crystal Illusions I was simply blown away. The story was told in the classic J. E. Taylor way in which you are led to believe the story ends up going one way, and through several twists and turns ends up going quite a different one. She skillfully builds the story to tell in it in a way that builds it up to a grand, final crescendo. Throughout the entire story you hold you breath, unsure when the next twist and turn will take place. If you haven’t bought her books yet, now is as good as any to start.

I have followed this writer since her first publication, and I look forward to the next chapter in the series. The imagination expressed by this writer will capture both the first time reader or the series follower as I am. My congratulations to the writer for another great read.

This is by far her favorite feedback on one of her books:
“Sexy dark and intense, Survival Games will bind you to the page, kiss you slowly and then kick you where it hurts the most; I couldn’t stop reading until I knew who won the game… Jessica Connor is one amazing character, and Survival Games is one hot read!” John Everson, Bram Stoker Award Winning Author
