When Lillian’s husband learns he’s the cause of their infertility, he’s gone before morning. Lillie does what any self-respecting woman would do, she turns to Ben and Jerry’s and refuses to leave the house. Eventually, she has to venture out to replenish her supply of Phish Food, and runs into her mother-in-law, struggling with the care of her special needs niece.

Ashamed by her self-indulgent behavior, Lillie finds strength she didn’t know she had to create the family she’d always wanted. Later when Jonathan returns, Lillie hopes to find the closure she lacked from his speedy departure. But instead, he needs a favor and Lillie’s the only one who can help. She knows the best thing to do is to forget the past and put her crumbled marriage behind her…or is it?

Sometimes coming home, isn’t to a place on the map…but a place in your heart.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Julie Sellers has written a heartwarming, memorable story with characters who stay with you long after you finish the book. Women can relate to Lillie’s challenges, and her heartbreak, and cheer for her as she works to redefine home and family. I enjoyed it thoroughly and am looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was great! Marriages are so hard if you don’t communicate – even if it’s for the right reasons. I’m glad they fought their way through their problems, but it took time and effort – just like real life. I highly recommend this book!

Coming Home by Julie Sellers makes one think about their own life and how things might have gone differently based on certain events. It’s about human fragility and how acceptance and forgiveness play a huge part in the happiness we can make for ourselves if we can let go, even for a little bit. I’m eagerly anticipating more stories from this series!
