Book-1 of the BRAINRUSH series was touted in the Wall Street Journal as the #1 Bestselling Action/Adventure in their “Readers Guide to Self-Published Big Sellers” (Dec 9, 2011). This sequel, “BRAINRUSH-II, The Enemy of My Enemy”, was released early December to rave reviews. Within a few weeks it became the #1 Top-Rated Mystery/Thriller AND the #1 Top-Rated Action/Adventure on Amazon USA–where it remains today (Jan 26, 2012)

Jake Bronson returns in Book-2 of the acclaimed thriller/adventure series by bestselling author, Richard Bard.

Former combat pilot Jake Bronson believed the worst was behind him. But when a sophisticated terrorist cell shows up in his home town, he’s drawn into a conflict that threatens the heart and soul of every mother in America. The bonds of love and loyalty are tested as Jake and his friends are swept into a deadly chase that takes them from the beaches of California, to the depths of the world’s longest underground river, and finally to the remote jungles of the Venezuelan rain forest–where Jake discovers that it will take far more than his enhanced abilities to prevent what is coming.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

I have to admit a teensy part of me was worried that BRAINRUSH II wouldn’t be as good, as BRAINRUSH, the first book. Well folks, worry NO MORE! Grab a parachute, floatation device, helmet, plenty of weapons, flashlight, water and MREs, for this action-packed, adrenaline laced trip. Richard Bard’s excellent description, of the characters and NON-STOP action scenes, place you right into the middle of the excitement. Twists and turns galore, throughout the book, with an ending that surprised me!

Strap yourself in. . . and get ready for a FANTASTIC Adventure!

Hopefully coming soon, to a Kindle near you and me!

Great Job Richard, LOVED it, highly recommend!

This was NOT a paid review.

A truely amazing storyline, this is the second time MR. Bard Has kept me up till 4am on a weekday, lol. If you want to be on the edge of your seat, miss a few meals, not sleep for a day, then this book is for you!! All of the characters are either extremely loveable or you wish you could jump in the book and strangle them yourself. It takes a very good author for me to even consider writing a review, and for Mr. Bard i’ve written 2! I can’t wait for the next book.

After reading the first book in this series, I patiently waited for Richard’s sequel. I wondered if he could create a second winner and if I would like it as much as the first. He did and I liked it even more. I would say that if you are a fan of a really good action/adventure book you will not go wrong with this book or it’s predecessor. Both of them are page turners that will have you not wanting to put them down.
I am hoping that Mr. Bard has a 3rd book in this series on the way (note: Part III is on the way) and I can guarantee that I will be one of the first ones to buy it.

Brainrush was an amazing book, full of intense action, likeable characters and characters you love to hate. I hated for it to end knowing I would have a wait before Brainrush ll came out. Well it was entirely worth the wait! I couldn’t believe it possible that it would be more exciting and riveting. It was!! Every time you think you can sit back and take a breath, the antagonists were on the move again.

About The Author

As a young Air Force pilot, Richard was diagnosed with cancer and learned that he had only a few months to live. Thirty-six years later he’s still going strong.

He earned a management degree from the University of Notre Dame and after leaving the Air Force he ran three successful companies involving advanced security products and hi-tech displays used by US embassies and government facilities worldwide. He was an active member of the California Crime Prevention Officer’s Association and has been published with cover stories in Security magazine and ASIS Security Management magazine.

When asked what he hopes to achieve as a writer, he said, “The dream for me is to be walking through an airport and notice someone with her head buried in the book. Many readers have said they found it impossible to put down. For me, that’s the ultimate compliment.” Bard currently resides with his wonderful wife in Redondo Beach, California, where he remains in excellent health.

Hi Nancy and Lee, If you sent in your proof of purchase last year during the promo period, you should have received your free book via an email from Amazon before 12/31/11. The subject read “You have received a Kindle Book gift from Richard Bard.” But this wouldn’t happen unless you sent in your P.O.P. If so, check your inbox for the last two weeks of December, and also your junk mail folder. Assuming you still can’t find it, email me and we’ll figure it out. No worries! email to: Thanks!
