When young, New York plastic surgeon Jack Donahue’s reputation is destroyed, he changes his name and makes a fresh start in Sydney.

Blessed with unique surgical skills and driven by greed and lust, it’s not long before Donahue is a multimillionaire but he wants more – much, much more.

Handsome, narcissistic and cruel, when Donahue sees the opportunity to become super-wealthy, he seizes it.

Will greed be his downfall?

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

This is a departure from this author’s usual genre of financial thrillers but I thought he did a nice job. I found the story was written well enough that it had my attention and I knew Dr Beaumont’s greed would eventually lead to his downfall. I highly recommend this author’s books.

Peter Ralph is right on the mark in the description, thoughts and behaviors of this plastic surgeon, and the surgical procedures as well. In my long years as an RN working in the operating room, I must say I’ve met my share of Dr. Beaumonts.

In Beauty and the scalpel, an unscrupulous plastic surgeon, John Donahue, who one would love to hate, flaunts his professional skills with such conceit and apathy, that the reader feels obliged to keep close tabs on him! The plot, flow and characterization are wonderfully done and manage to evoke a range of emotions in the reader. Loved it!

Peter Ralph has written another blockbuster. Jack/Simon tries to put the past behind by moving but that just drives him harder. His ego puts him in more trouble. A great read.

As someone who is interested in personality study, I found Peter Ralph’s study of an amoral schemer fascinating. An added bonus was a jaw dropping insight into the world of cosmetic surgery. Anyone contemplating a procedure should read this book.
