When Cheryl Ann leaves home she can almost see a rosy future stretched out in front of her… then she is forced to make a choice she didn’t expect. The man in her life makes it clear: pick me or pick your baby, he says. Suddenly she finds herself at a crossroads. Cheryl makes a decision that changes her life forever and sets up a chain of events leading to more heartache than she dreamed possible.

Baby Girl is a mother’s story. It’s about the greatest sacrifice a mother can make when she wants the best for her child. It’s about falling in and out of love, of losing and finding one’s self. It’s a family saga that tells of the perilous journey from passionate young love to happy true love and the joy of discovering the difference.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

There are few writers who develop characters so fully in so few words…but develop them she does — and most of her characters (the ones you care about!) become like a friend – one with whom you’ll laugh – and want to hold her when she needs holding. I always look forward to Bette’s new books…and try hard to follow and read all books in a series….I just can’t resist!

This story rang so true for me, Cheryl Ann could easily have been a sister, a daughter, a friend. She was real; her pain was real, and her story was real. I know this girl. I cried with her, yelled at her, even laughed with her. This book was impossible to put down. I read it in one sitting. And I loved every word.

This book pulled me in from the very beginning and held me all the way through. It was such an emotional story with a wonderful and very happy ending.

This is a book that you will not soon forget. It made me laugh and cry. It definitely made me feel. That to me is the sign of a gifted storyteller. Ms. Crosby is indeed that, gifted. This book will stay with you long after you are finished. I highly recommend this one. It is an uplifting story and one that happens every day. Thank you Bette Lee for writing this moving story.

When I started reading I just could not put the book down and finished it before going to bed. I am amazed at the talented Bette Lee Crosby and her ability to continue to write warm and touching stories. I always feel so blessed to have spent time within the pages of a Crosby book.
