Half-drowned immigrants. A dead store owner. An attempt on a woman’s life. Despite all this, shop owner Cara Mia Delgatto still tries to do what’s right by returning a vintage Lilly Pulitzer to its original owner. As a result, she risks everything– including her son’s life.

With a plot echoing the weighty decisions of today, and a revelation that lays bare the intrigues our nation’s most exclusive town, All Washed Up is a fast-paced, clean read, that sparkles with a cast of strong women. As an amateur sleuth, Cara Mia proves her courage. As a woman friend, she’s without equal. And as a crime-solving granddaughter, she’s not afraid to back up her grandfather when he’s in a tight spot, because that’s what women do…we take care of those we love.

In this third book in the series, Cara’s romantic problems come to a nasty head, while her relationship with her sister grows more toxic. But throughout all the drama, Cara proves herself to be a woman you can count on in a tough situation. Of course, you can also count on her to come up with yummy recipes and terrific ideas for recycling.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Joanna Campbell Slan keeps getting better and better! This was by far my favorite book in her Cara Mia Delgatto series. It was fresh, relevant and brought more depth into her characters, which to me is what a good cozy is all about!!

Slan’s descriptive writing helps you to feel the sand in your toes and smell the salty air. This installment had intrigue and surprises galore and left me eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. I love the store and the neat crafts that they make and when you are finished with the book you can get a bonus file with recipes and craft directions. I highly recommend this series.

I really found myself drawn into this one- so much so that I read it in one sitting! Who needs sleep! The story line captivated me from the beginning. I felt like we got to know each of the characters just a little more this time around and some interesting secrets and tidbits were revealed.

Ms. Slan always includes factual things and places in her stories, masterfully weaving the truth in with the fiction. Her rich descriptions make you feel you’re right there in the story, or that you want to visit. Pick up one of her books today and be prepared to lose yourself in the story. You won’t be sorry you did!

This is no slow moving read. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. And I didn’t want it to end! It’s one of those books that I got totally caught up in. You know the kind – you look up from your Kindle and can’t believe you aren’t on Jupiter Island being buffeted by warm, salty breezes.
