Ocean Siliker has come back to Harkness, New Brunswick in defeat, after failing to set New York on fire with her playwriting. The first item on her agenda? Climbing White Crow Cliff, where her best friend Lacey Douglas died six years ago. If she conquers the mountain, perhaps she can rediscover her courage. But the only thing she finds herself is…lost.

Family obligations have left Titus Standish stuck in Harkness. While his younger siblings went off into the world, he stayed, working the farm and running the local search and rescue. He was there when Lacey fell to her death and blames himself. He dreads the day another mission takes him up there again. But when Ocean’s mother calls, concerned that her daughter is wandering the mountain, he leaps into action.

Ocean is thrilled to be found…until she sees her savior. She’s known Titus Standish all her life, and has loved him almost that long. But at four years his junior, she was just a kid with a crush. When Titus finds her, he’s determined to march her back down the mountain to safety. But Ocean has other plans; she’ll be damned if she’ll give up this trek. Yet all trails seem to lead to one place…straight into Titus’s arms.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

The writing was excellent and the multi-layered storyline had everything I look for in a great reading experience. It features the adventure of a Search and Rescue mission in the dangerous and beautiful wilds of Canada, a compelling family drama in a small town setting, and a simmering and steamy relationship that a romance fan can always appreciate.

I really enjoy Norah Wilson’s books, they are always well written and filled with romance. A Fall from Yesterday: A Hearts of Harkness Romance, is the perfect introduction to her new series The Standish Clan!

I loved this book. The characters became my friends and I felt like I was right there with them living the story and the emotions. I can’t wait to read more of Norah’s books. It is a must read in my book.

I really enjoyed both Titus and Ocean and this sweet romance. I liked that Titus was finally following his own dream but the author did a great job of showing his guilt about leaving his family and the town he grew up in behind. Both characters showed a lot of growth through the story and I enjoyed the introduction of the secondary characters.

I loved everything about it, just like all of her books, including the cover. Even the title is very fitting. The characters are well developed, real life, and true to the way they are written to the very end. The heroin is strong and saucy, and the hero a man of honor, each with their own vulnerabilities and a strong connection to each other.

About The Author

The tenth of eleven children, I had to do something to distinguish myself. That thing turned out to be writing.

One of the coolest things that ever happened to me was finalling in RWA’s Golden Heart contest for unpublished romance writers in 2001. I went on to do it again in 2002 and 2003.

Another cool thing: winning the 2003 New Voice in Romance contest sponsored by Dorchester Publishing and Romantic Times Magazine. My contest-winning story went on to be published by Dorchester.

A *super* cool thing: the revolutionizing of reading habits by Kindle and other eReaders. That development allowed me to publish my romantic suspense stories that didn’t quite fit for traditional publishers, but which have been very well received by readers. Yay, Amazon!

My newest cool thing? Being able to put “USA Today bestselling author” after my name.

I live in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, with my family, a Rotti-Shepherd cross (Rottherd? Sheprotti?) and a tuxedo cat.

You can find my romance website at and my YA / Casters series (co-written with Heather Doherty) website at And at long last, you can read about Dix Dodd’s adventurs at

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Norah Wilson and ENT appreciate it.
