How do you search for what you cannot see?

When Susan Bley’s nine-year-old daughter, Margot, disappears, it’s up to only her to find her. Due to a recent accident and loss of her eyesight, Susan needs the eyes of her friend, Nora Cooper, to see what she cannot.

Nora often sees more than she intends to. But she is on the other side of the world, in Martha’s Vineyard, while Susan is alone in Rome. Before time runs out, she must use the clues Nora relays while searching for her daughter on her own.

Young Margot has information about an unsolved murder–and the killer might just want to silence the little girl…for good.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

I couldn’t put this book down. This story of murder, kidnapping and loss will keep you intensely engaged. Don’t miss it.

I love this mystery by Italian author Giulia Beyman. Very traditional style, set in Italy, but with some wonderful twists. A blind mother whose daughter is taken has to find her by uncovering the murderer of her apartment neighbor. The pace moves fast and the tension builds, all the while you really feel for these characters and wonder “whodunit.” A very satisfying ending too!

Very exciting read. Good to the very end. I must say the ending was a real surprise and will not give it away. A must read and I will read the next book by this author.

Ms Beyman puts us in the heart and mind of a blind mother trying to save her kidnapped daughter. Story kept me guessing and I didn’t suspect the killer until near the end.
