Wildlife vet Holly works in beautiful English countryside. That’s the good bit. The bad bit is, the family. Holly’s husband Dylan is growing more distant by the minute, while his wayward twin Seth and their widowed mother Elaine have their own problems. And then there’s Megan.

Sixteen-year-old Megan’s world rocks continuously as she grieves for her mother and tries to cope not only with her aging grandmother but also with GCSE exams. She needs the family to rally around her, but a suspicious death throws them all off-balance, and Megan, uncertain and alone, can only cling to the one person she still trusts.
