In 1519, during the Spanish incursions into the mysterious Aztec Empire, a young Spanish conquistador named Rodrigo falls in love with Atzi, a beautiful Aztec woman. After discovering a brutal truth and witnessing the atrocities committed by his fellow Spaniards, Rodrigo must navigate his way through an uncertain and intriguing new world as the countrymen from his old life come to destroy what he has come to love.
