When the world’s intelligence agencies are unable to locate the extremists before they unleash their pandemic, governments turn to the Friends From Damascus. This rogue counterterrorist team will go anywhere and take any risk to deliver their form of justice to extremists. But this time the team faces an unexpected challenge from within its own elite ranks. Their newest member, Katya Petrova, has lost all faith in humanity – the world’s and her own.

“Beautifully written, thoughtfully constructed, with an endearing central character… A must-read for any Tolkien or Terry Brooks fan!” – E. Gyll

BOOK 1: ESCAPE – Young Iliff believes his prison world to be all there is. But when a stranger tells him the story of a long-ago escapee, Iliff resolves to learn the truth. Thus begins his journey to find the Sun, a magnificent power from which all things are said to originate — including him. But first he must venture beyond the very walls he is charged with upholding and into realms deep and dark, where fearsome creatures lurk.

BOOK 2: LIGHTS & SHADOWS – The journey is over. The quest for the Sun fallen to ruin. From the depths of a hopeless swamp, Iliff condemns himself. But when he encounters a dethroned king and his war-torn subjects, he stirs to new purpose: to protect these good people from the darkness of the world. It will be his redemption. Or will it? For the more fiercely Iliff struggles to fortify their light, the greater looms the enemy’s shadow — and his own.

BOOK 3: FINAL PASSAGE – The Sun remains elusive, and Skye is fading. Now the challenge before Iliff is clear: complete his quest or lose Skye forever. With time short and hope waning, he knows his looming journey will demand everything of him. But clues are few and cryptic and all seem to point toward the last place he ever expected, or wanted, to venture.

This light-hearted romantic comedy set in the Scottish Highlands explores the themes of love, loyalty and class conflict in an entertaining romp on the heels of a maverick dog.
Fiona Buchanan is a young writer and historian who moves from Edinburgh to an old cottage in the Scottish Highlands to immerse herself in the landscape while she concentrates on the book she is writing. But her attempts to look after a loveable but irascible dog land her in the dog house with her new neighbours, the Parkers, who live in a nearby castle.

Colin Parker is part of a rich and exclusive social set who are known for not mixing with the locals, but he takes an interest in Fiona after hearing her speak at a function, not realising that she is the dog’s owner. Despite her initial reluctance about their class differences, Fiona is slowly won over by the charming Colin as they introduce each other to their separate worlds until the dog’s misbehaviour tears apart their hard-won relationship and forces them to decide for themselves what really matters.

Martina “Marty” Hart is really nice. At least, that’s what people think. It’s Marty’s junior year at Minster High. Minster’s a small town where making great grades, smiling pretty, helping old people, running the new-student Welcoming Committee, and putting up decorations for all the dances–including the totally awful Hot Shot fall hunting celebration–gets you … what? Marty’s not sure. Instead of dreaming about a sororities-and-frats future at nearby University of Michigan, she’s restless, searching for a way out of the box her controlling mother and best frenemy Sarah have locked her in.

When Lil–don’t call her Lily!–Hatfield transfers to Minster, Marty gets her chance. Lil’s different. She smokes, wears black, listens to angry punk records, and lives in a weird trailer with her mother. Lil has secrets–secrets that make her a target for all the gossiping and online bullying Minster can muster. But so does Marty. And Marty sees something different in Lil. Something honest. Something real.

I don’t have a kindle, but would love to be able to read some of the books being offered for free or reduced prices. How can I take advantage of that? I do however have a smart phone with android on it, is there a way I could get these books on my android phone?
