She has no idea just how much her world is about to change because while she has always believed in Heaven and angels, she’s never given explicit thought to their counterparts.

Gabe’s entire life has consisted of lies, misery and a family he loathes but is unable to escape. When he is ordered to integrate himself into Ava’s life, he doesn’t dare question the reason. He doesn’t expect to find Ava tolerable, let alone likeable. The last thing he expects is to fall in love with her.

When he realizes he is in control of Ava’s fate, he needs to make a choice. Will she find safety with him or will he be the one to deliver her into the hands of pure evil?

Forty-year-old widow Molly Culpepper believes her hometown is a place of harmony and white picket fences–until a colleague chalks a racial slur on the blackboard during Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. In the uproar that follows, a citizens’ group files a lawsuit alleging discrimination against the high school where Molly teaches. To address the lawsuit’s concerns over academic weaknesses, Molly joins forces with a black minister to plan curriculum improvements and a fundraiser for equipment upgrades. The town’s racial divide becomes personal when Molly clashes with a new black student, J.D. Marshall. His rough language and lack of control disrupt Molly’s classroom, but she is determined to find a way to reach him. Gradually, both Molly and J.D. discover their families have a tangled history involving violence, charity, and misunderstanding.

The serious themes of the novel are lightened by Molly’s witty voice and the dark humor that stems from the effects of the Great Recession. In addition to problems at work, Molly struggles to raise two boys on her own, to keep her alcoholic father out of trouble, and to find time for romance.

Driver 5
by Dr. Ray W. Clark
Rating: 5.0 Stars
Genre: Action & Adventure/Horror
Price: $0.00 Save $8.00
Subject to change back to full price at any time.

Sucked into another dimension by a Shelby GT 500 KR, Driver 5 finds himself in the middle of a cornfield that should have been a city. A black clad girl is running for her life by a nightmare on foot. Thousands of zombies. She directs him to the base. The underground complex housing thousands of people. It’s there that he finds himself the only hope of not only these people but the entire world. At the end of World War two, Hitler pulled off a sneak attack that we didn’t see coming. Thousands of A-Bombs fell across the west, causing everything west of the Mississippi river to fall into the ocean.

Japan was swallowed into the sea as was most of China. But that wasn’t the worst of the Nazi treachery. They released a chemical agent that turned the rest of the population of the United States into zombie like creatures. Unlike the zombies in the movies, they do not kill for food. They just kill.

In the base they fit him with a suit that employs nanotechnology, making his synapses and muscles fire at a super human rate. It’s also hardwired to his brain. The car is upgraded and responds only to his suit. Navigation and reloading of ammo, specially made to only kill dead flesh is uploaded to the computers and the ammo pack on the suit back respectively.

They give him the tools, a nanotech enhanced suit, and slight modifications to his car to drive from Indianapolis to Detroit. He doesn’t have a chance in hell. The girl becomes his navigator and will only call him Driver 5 because of the short life span of the drivers. They had a machine that went into other dimensions to recruit drivers and only one has even come close. And he is someone they do not want to see up close. Half human half demon, he hunts drivers to protect his master Hitler in Briggs (Tigers) stadium in Detroit. Ride with Driver 5 as he battles his way through zombies and meets new friends along the way to the ultimate goal.
