The Destiny Project
by James Wharton
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Genre: Historical Thriller
Price: $0.99

“I completely enjoyed this book! I had a hard time putting it down and didn’t want it to be over. It’s easy to quickly get invested in the lives of the characters and see the action playing out like a movie in your mind. For any WWII history fans, this is a great fiction read mixed with snippets of history throughout. Excellent book!!!” – ellasmom

An ancient artifact with powerful secrets, a rogue government agency and a Nazi nuclear weapons factory cause the lives of two women from different times to spin out of control. World War II ended in 1945, but a bizarre incident on an American bomber on a forgotten raid over Germany now threatens the security of the United States.

In late July, 1947, Brittany Beardsley had reservations on a flight to Las Vegas where she was to be married the next day. Her flight crashed on takeoff killing all on board in the fiery accident. That she had missed the plane while her fiancé made it were not accidents.

In the present time, school teacher Kate Darron’s bad day gets much worse when a strange woman wearing clothes from another era knocks on her apartment door. Kate is troubled that the woman seems to know every detail of her life. “Who are you?” Kate asks. “Think of me as the fairy godmother of death,” the woman replies. “You shall be dead in less than half an hour.”

These unrelated incidents bring Kate and Brittany together as they are forced to undertake a terrifying mission across continents and time, one on which survival is not an option.

“I was sucked in quickly and devoured it. It isn’t your typical young hot man meets girl and they are instantly infatuated and sex crazed. Mari and Trystan have been friends for a couple years. Mari helping Trystan run lines for a play. Trystan seems like your typical hot guy but, he has a few big secrets.” – Brittany

When Mari accidentally overhears that Trystan is in love, she can’t believe it. He’s pining over some girl that doesn’t know he’s alive. The confident swagger and endless stream of girls is a facade. It conceals his loneliness and hides how messed up he’s really become trying to flee from a life that’s battered him to his core. Trystan tries to figure out how to make it clear how much he loves her. But every insincere kiss, every broken promise haunts him because she knows them all. Now Trystan has to prove to the one girl who thinks true love is real that she’s not just another conquest. Mari keeps his secret, but quickly learns about an even bigger secret about Trystan Scott—one that is impossible to keep.

The Adventures of Victoria Noire and Friends
by Mark Bell
Rating: 4.8 Stars
Genre: Children’s Book

The Mystery of Blackthorn Woods is a very clever, witty, whimsical tale of mystery, suspense and adventure. An Illustrated Gothic Fantasy Children’s Book full of wonder. The Noire family just moved to the small town of Blackthorn Woods – where very mysterious events are happening. Sixteen year old Victoria finds herself on a quest to figure out what exactly is going on. Strange lights in the woods, strange dreams and unusual encounters are all part of this fun tale. For ages 8 to 83. Perhaps even 85. Oh, there is also a bunny and perhaps a poodle in this tale. We should note here that the author is not happy that a poodle perhaps made it into this book – and he feels that we are spending too much time on this poodle issue. We should also note that the Noire family is quite strange. There are many clues to be found. Also, the author isn’t really sure what age group this book is for – but there are only a few big words here and there. I should have said something more about the woods, but you will just have to read about that in the book…

Please return to the old format. This one is not helpful at all.

Oh and for the ones that can’t tell that the list is broken up showing which is bargain and free…are you sure you should be getting the books?! If you can’t tell which is which, and if you can’t see the price of 0.00 or .99 listed by it then you obviously CAN’T read! Again thank you ereader for your time and efforts to keep us in FREE books and saving US time!

Honestly you all are complaining when the books are still free and on Amazon you just have to go look for them daily like this site does. But if you want it handed to you like this site is doing then be grateful that they take the time to do it. I doubt they are getting PAID to offer these links to make it easy for you to get the books. If you can’t wait daily to get a few free books easily and quickly then sorry to see how ungrateful people are getting to be today. No wonder so many of our kids now adays don’t want to WORK for what they have just hold their hand out going “mommy daddy give me…NO what do you mean no and sulk and whine until they get it or act out”. Shame on you people! Thank you ereader for al lyou do and the time and effort you put into helping us find bargain and free books quicker than having to spend time doing it ourselves. And NO I do not work with or in any way affiliated with the site, I am a fellow freebie enthusist that could not believe seeing and reading such ungrateful, complaining adults that at first I took as children that were being told they can’t eat so much candy at one time or they’ll get sick and WHINE about it. As I tell my child want some cheese with that whine?

Hate the new format; loved the old one. Appreciate all the free books I’ve gotten in the past. Guess I knew it wouldn’t last. Was thinking about getting my granddaughter (12) a Kindle for Christmas because she could get free books, but probably not now. She can afford to pay for them even less than me. Still, I understand that it’s business and the goal is to make money. Thanks for what I’ve gotten in the past. Thank goodness there’s still public libraries!

i do not care for this new format. It takes longer to look at the books. I am not sure that I will continue to visit every day as I have been doing.

I am not a senior, but I am on disability and barely scrapping by. The free books are everything to me as is my kindle. I can no longer go out and browse through a bookstore. I miss the old format. I don’t want to have to jump around to look at the books. Haven’t really figured out how to see the books. 🙁

The “NEW” format is confusing!
Make it SIMPLE to use… Put Bargain books in 1 list with a link to click on, Free books in another list with a link to click on, and the Buy 2 & Get 1 in a 3rd list with a link to click on. Put them all in a Daily email.
What happened to the list of 60-100 FREE books??
I have already deleted 2 of these emails after being frustrated at trying to find all the free list. There are only 2 childrens books hidden in with the $$ books. This is worthless to me I am 60+ years old not 6!
I am on Social Security and buying books is not in my budget. I am only interested in the free books. (My reason for signing up with this site in the 1st place!) If this continues I’ll be frustrated to the point I just unsubscribe and go to Amazon’s free list. This use to be nice & convenient now it’s confusing & frustrating!

i’m not sure i like the new format, but like any change it will take time to figure everything out. after that, we’ll see. LOL i have a real aversion to paying more than $3.99 for an ebook so there are only a few authors i’ve chosen to follow that tempt me out of my hard-earned money. that makes the free and budget books all the more precious to me.

so thanks, ENT for all your hard work. keep it up, and i’ll try to keep up with the changes.

Interesting. I was just about to buy a Kindle. I have a Nook but wanted to get the free kindle books I keep noticing. Now I think I’ll wait and see what happens.

10 Tanya October 30, 2012 at 12:06 pm

Ugh! Well I see yesterday’s mess up with the free and bargain books smooshed together wasn’t a fluke.
I also see only 2 free books each time instead of the regular 4 (is it just me or did it used to be 5-6?). It’s not that there is a lack of free books either, just check out the top free kindle feed.
I loved this site. I loved the many books that were free so I could pick and choose what genre I want to read. Now it seems all that’s free are kiddie books and romance with an occasional sci-fi thrown in. I don’t read those so I no longer need to visit this site I guess. Pity.
I will miss this site but it’s useless to me now.

Hate new format please list free boks all together. too hard to use on smartphone

12 Maggie October 30, 2012 at 11:24 am

Change is ok, and there are still plenty of free books to read. What is it they say about looking gift horses in the mouth?

13 Debbie October 30, 2012 at 10:59 am

I like the old format much better

14 Rose Bennett October 30, 2012 at 7:53 am

I also like the free books, sometimes I can afford the inexpensive books. I am a senior and on a fixed income so the free books were a gift to us seniors.
liked the old format.
