Kindle App For iPad

by Greg on April 6, 2010

As you probably already know, the iPad was just released this past Saturday, April 3rd. With that release, Amazon has just released their Kindle App for iPad. This basically does the same thing as the Kindle app for Mac, Kindle app for PC, and the Kindle app for Blackberry.

Check out the Kindle App For iPad video to the right to see what the app looks like and how it will work.

This is what Amazon had to say about the app:

“Kindle for iPad includes all the features customers love about Kindle for iPhone, including a massive selection of over 450,000 books, along with a beautiful new user interface tailored to the look and feel of iPad,” said Jay Marine, director, Amazon Kindle. “Kindle for iPad is the perfect companion for the millions of customers who already own a Kindle or Kindle DX, and a way for customers around the world to download and enjoy books even if they don’t yet have a Kindle.”

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Automatically syncs with Kindle and Kindle compatible devices. You can read on your Kindle, iPad or Mac and pick right up where you left off.
  • Very nice user interface. It is tailored to the large size of the iPad. You can see bold colors and animation using the Kindle app on the iPad.
  • The appearance is customizable. You can dim the screen, choose from three different background colors and change the font color and size to your preference.
  • Page turn animation. This animation is designed to make it look as though you are turning the page on an actual paper book. If you don’t like the animation you can turn on the “Basic Reading Mode”.

As with all the other Kindle apps, the Kindle App for iPad is also free.

Well to me Martial Arts means respect and discipline.

I have trained in different Martial arts now for well over
15 years. I have seen tons of people appear and disappear but one more
thing that I have noticed happens to be the respect and
discipline that has changed those peoples perception of life.

Young children that have started that are now on the wrong side of the tracks, always in trouble and no idea how to respect other kids.
Put them in a controlled environment with discipline and fighting and they soon
start to understand.
Martial arts is a terrific way for kids and adults to get rid of their aggression without hurting or bullying anyone.
