When an old friend of Josh Henson’s is found beaten to death in the parking garage of the San Francisco radio station where he works, the former newspaper reporter turned Internet investigator is drawn from his home in the bucolic Florida Keys into a world of political maneuvering, intimidation and assassination, all parts of a battle not only for control of the country but for its very soul.

In a novel that anticipated the Occupy and Move Your Money movements, Henson begins covering a campaign to take back America from the corporate and political elites that have hijacked it for their own purposes and profit. As he does, he is drawn into another battle, this one fought quietly and without quarter by a shadowy group of men and women who bring their own “particular set of skills” to bear against forces that will stop at nothing in defense of wealth and power.

Flying with Cuckoos tells the true story of a journey of discovery, as a young and naïve Michael Clark leaves a desperately-unhappy adopted home, to join the armed forces, as a ‘boy apprentice’ before transferring into one of the most ill-disciplined and disreputable units in the British armed forces.

As the story unfolds, we follow his progress; from one-sided battles with school bullies in suburban England, to even-more one-sided battles with the S.A.S. in some of the world’s most dangerous and exotic places; from the jungles of South-East Asia, and the bullet-scarred shacks of Gaddafi’s ‘new’ Libya, through the tragedy of the war in Vietnam, and the hedonistic excess of swinging-sixties Bangkok and Singapore.

The Delphi Chronicle is a serial trilogy – a story that unfolds over three installments, with each continuing in the next episode, usually with a cliffhanger ending, on all but the last installment. This first book, The Manuscript, chronicles the saga of NY private eye Michael Derrigan, as he unwittingly comes into possession of a manuscript that will change the world order if its secrets are aired. Clandestine factions of the U.S. government will do anything to keep the story buried, & a trail of butchery follows Derrigan as he races for his life in a chase that spans from New York, to Mexico, to Havana. An epic roller-coaster ride of a thriller, The Delphi Chronicle’s unflinching & often disturbing twists & turns question the nature of reality & of the integrity of our governments in a post-modern world of lies, deceit and betrayal.

Think carefully about reading this book. It’s filled with things like sword fights and flying horses, death and magic, violence and huge evil monsters, and there is absolutely no hope that life will turn out okay at the end. If you do choose to read this book, prepare yourself. This is not a story for the faint of heart. Your beliefs are guaranteed to be challenged. The monsters will never give up until they catch you, the magic is too strong to fight, and the disease from the water is impossible to cure. Kai, Taryn, and Lizzy have to purify the toxic water of Eltiria before anyone else dies. If they don’t, life as they know it will cease to exist. A Winged Horse sets them on the search to locate the source of the poison and to find their faith while battling to see the truth in a world of chaos and destruction.
