For Rose Gardner, working at the DMV on a Friday afternoon is bad even before she sees a vision of herself dead. She’s had plenty of visions, usually boring ones like someone’s toilet’s overflowed, but she’s never seen one of herself before. When her overbearing momma winds up murdered on her sofa instead, two things are certain: There isn’t enough hydrogen peroxide in the state of Arkansas to get that stain out, and Rose is the prime suspect.

Rose realizes she’s wasted twenty-four years of living and makes a list on the back of a Wal-Mart receipt: twenty-eight things she wants to accomplish before her vision comes true. She’s well on her way with the help of her next door neighbor Joe, who has no trouble teaching Rose the rules of drinking, but won’t help with number fifteen– do more with a man. Joe’s new to town, but it doesn’t take a vision for Rose to realize he’s got plenty secrets of his own.

Somebody thinks Rose has something they want and they’ll do anything to get it. Her house is broken into, someone else she knows is murdered, and suddenly, dying a virgin in the Fenton County jail isn’t her biggest worry after all.

Seasonal fruit makes delicious and moist quick bread. If you would enjoy baking with fresh fruit and staples you already have in your pantry, then you’ll certainly enjoy this recipe book. Too often we end up with extra fruit from our trees in the backyard or fresh fruit we purchased, but it’s just sitting in the bowl. Now you have a way to use it and avoid the waste.

Not only are quick breads yummy, you can save money by doing your own baking. How much is a fabulous banana bread or blueberry bread at your local market or bakery? You can create the same delicious bread in your home; not to mention how wonderful your house will smell during and after baking your quick bread.

Take one of these quick bread recipes and convert it to muffins using the information included, if that’s what you prefer. Quick bread recipes are equally good served warm, cold or even toasted for breakfast. Decorate the top of your loaf or muffins; serve with ice cream or whipping cream; enjoy with plain or flavored butter. In other words, you can’t go wrong with the right quick bread recipes! You could have your next masterpiece in the oven in 15 minutes, ready to take out of the oven in the next hour!

I love my Kindle keyboard! I’d love to have a Fire also, for the color – Thomas the Train just isn’t the same in black and white! I just downloaded Little Red Riding Hood (free) and I”m sure color would make it a lot better too. Oh well – I’d keep this one anyway, because I hear it’s better to use in the sun.

This was the first year that my adult children asked me if there was a more expensive item I’d like them to chip in for. And I was ready with an answer: a Kindle. Then I researched the different ones, and asked for a Kindle Touch. I’m not into horror or fantasy or romance, so I’ve only gotten a few freebies, but I find something I love every so often. I have one book I only allow myself to read at the treadmill– perfect b/c I enlarge the font and rigged a holder using velcro!

I am a 67 year old widow and there is no way I could afford all these books without ENT. I bought my Kindle for myself as a Xmas present in 2010. I carry it everywhere I go….never thought I would be tethered to an electronic device at my age. An I am like the one person above….thought about buying a Kindle Fire but I really have all I need. All other things I use my laptop. Thanks so much for the freebies
