“You need an attitude adjustment!” Samantha Logan told Adam Rourke.

She didn’t care that he was rich, she didn’t care that he was handsome, and she didn’t care that her boss was his surrogate father.

She tried to ignore the fact that his deep voice hit her behind the knees and made her feel oddly off balance. And she was sure those heart palpitations were the result of drinking two five-hour energy drinks in less than thirty minutes and definitely not from a pair of broad shoulders, green eyes and a sexy stubble.

He was way too cynical, thought he knew it all, and had her reaching for three Excedrin™ and a couple of Tums™ in less than five minutes!

Samantha Logan, he decided, was the proverbial sexy librarian fantasy – with dancer’s legs and a curvy ass. Her blonde hair was piled precariously on top of her head, held in place by a bright yellow pencil. A few flaxen wisps had escaped, teasing against a softly rounded face. Square blue-tinted eyeglasses highlighted even bluer eyes. She was smart, sassy, way too funny – and she had no idea she was all that.

When Jay Cross heals a paralyzed man just by shaking his hand, and is able to do it again and again, his quiet, cozy little world is on the verge of shattering. The one thing that would make it all worth it, the one thing that would make him embrace his abilities, won’t work, no matter how hard he tries.

At the same time, only a few miles away, David Kreutzer wipes his hand across his wife’s forehead and cures her failing eyesight. He, too, is able to repeat these healing miracles, and in doing so, he sees the bright glow of dollar signs. Millions of them.

Where did this ability come from? Why were they chosen?

And who is the mysterious stranger lurking in the shadows, waiting for his chance to destroy them both?

Patrik, a newly-married young man, turns down the safety of small town life to help his uncle manage a road-side inn many miles away. But before he can learn even the basics of running an inn, the uncle suddenly dies. If he had stayed where he was born, Patrik could have become a successful hunter, fur trapper, or even a successful artist. So why did he leave the comforts of home?

Not long after the death of his uncle, Patrik’s wife dies, leaving him to mourn her death while struggling to be a good father to their two young daughters. Where can he find the inner peace he feverishly desires?

Tamara, boisterous, beautiful but often cantankerous, has turned down every man who has offered to rescue her from the pitiful routine of The Lonely Fox inn. Who, if anyone, could ever capture her love?

Kristof, The Lonely Fox Inn’s stable hand, has attempted to earn Tamara’s affection since he first set eyes upon her but has suffered a lifetime of rejection in the few months he has been employed there. What can he do to somehow make her love him? Betrovia… a land in disarray… a land in need of peace…

“Teaching and Reaching Without Preaching (or Screeching)”

The teenage years are a period when young people want to experiment, grow and try new things at the same time that they are not only going through emotional growing pains but are also extraordinarily hypersensitive to anyone (but especially a parent!) giving them advice. This can make the teenage years a time of stress, not only for the person in question but also for their parents, who hate to see their child suffer through mistakes but also know that “preaching” to them will do little good.
