Long-buried secrets have a way of coming to light.

Germany, 1939. Brigitte is only fifteen years old when her childhood friend, Rolf, knocks frantically on her bedroom window one night, begging for refuge. Separated from his family, Rolf knows that his fate as a Jew in Germany is sealed.

Brigitte’s family takes him in and hides him in the attic, and Brigitte herself cares for and tends to him while he hides. Until one day, Rolf simply disappears.

Present Day. Successful life and business coach Niv Keinan has made a name for himself, traveling the world and helping everyone but himself find the happiness they yearn for. When he meets elderly Brigitte, he does not expect her to become more than a passing acquaintance. Until she asks him for a favor—to help her right a long-ago wrong and finally find peace before she dies.
