Drive. Ambition. Career first. Those words might as well be tattooed on entertainment TV producer Daphne Moore’s forehead. As a retired people pleaser, Daphne was finally prioritizing herself. She had her eye on the prize; the problem was that the ‘prize’ was starting to lose its appeal.

After seven lackluster years working for a pop culture tabloid show, she was starting to rethink her priorities. A weekend across the country in Firefly Island to celebrate her late grandma sounded like a great distraction and opportunity for a reset before heading back to sunny Southern California. Little did she know that distraction would come in the form of a six-foot-four former baseball player who tempts her to backslide into her old ways.
