Two lovers, one chance at happiness… When Max Martinelli returns to Paris in search of her lost love, what she finds could change her life forever.

For three years the memory of Julien Marceau has haunted Max. Her life is stuck on hold simply because she can’t stop wondering what would have happened if she had gone back. Was Julien simply part of the magic of Paris? Or was he meant to be her destiny?

After a New Year’s Eve party that ends in disaster, Max decides to find out once and for all. She is going to return to Paris and search for Julien. But will this search bring a happy ever after or a truth so ugly it will destroy everything she holds dear?

Written on location, What the Heart Remembers is filled with the magic and mystery of Paris… the city of love.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

This is a story about being blinded by what you thought was love and finding out what real love is all about. It was a great read and I recommend the book.

*******

Bette Lee Crosby has such a great way of connecting the characters with each other and with the reader. These stories are refreshing and give such a feeling of hope for relationships to blossom when they are least expected. I have truly enjoyed every story so far.

*******

Love, passion, heartbreak and Paris deliver an irresistible story line in this gripping novel. In her unique style, Bette Lee Crosby creates engaging characters and brings the city of light to life for readers.

*******

I loved each one of the characters, foibles and all, because the author allowed us to feel so deeply for them. She spins the tale so well, and brings us surprises at every bend which makes this a real page turner that is impossible to put down. The ending was a gripping sort of hide and seek that I thought I’d never survive!

*******

Ms. Cosby’s writing of Paris was like giving the reader a personal one on one tour of the city of lights. The reader almost has to know that this search of Max’s will not be the destiny she expected. What Max does find would spoil your reading this book. Let’s just say the story grabs you and only lets you go when you turn the last page.
