Real-Life Pirates, Undiscovered Treasure, Romance, and Danger

True Treasure is the second book in Lisa Grace’s thrilling Real – Life History Mystery Series.

In 1817
Captain Bennett Graham of the HMS Devonshire is surveying the islands and coastline of Costa Rica. Mary Welch, the young daughter of a coffee plantation owner, finds herself drawn to the magnetic handsome ship’s captain. Through a turn of unfortunate events, Bennett Graham becomes known as the pirate Bloody Graham. Mary and Bennett fight for their lives and discover the only True Treasure, is the one anchored to their hearts.

Present Day
Keiko Zorben an intern at the Smithsonian Institute, archives a child’s scrapbook from the late 1800s. Inside, she finds a treasure map. Realizing that the map is older than the book, and not drawn by a child, Keiko and Dr. Julian Lone Wolf travel to the exotic islands off Costa Rica to hunt for the Devonshire Treasure. However, modern day pirates discover Keiko and Lone Wolf have the key to the tons of gold they’ve been searching for.

From the missing star of the Star Spangled Banner and the War of 1812 in The 15th Star, to the pirates roaming the shipping lanes pillaging goods, gold, and silver in True Treasure, Lisa Grace explores a turbulent yet enthralling time in history, the early 1800s, in her real-life history mystery novels.

Enjoy as a stand-alone or as part of Keiko and Julian’s continuing romance.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

This is an amazing book! A fantastic history/mystery that is well written and a fast read! I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to see what Lisa Grace publishes next!

I like to know that the author has done the research when it comes to historical books. This book is not just a history lesson but is well thought out and flows. The storyline kept me wanting more. I recommend it even for people that are not interested in the history.

Lisa Grace deftly intertwines a contemporary story line with one from the early 1800s, providing a fun way to learn about history. The story is paced so well that I was surprised at how fast I was breezing through it! This is an enjoyable read for fans of historical fiction.

True Treasure was a great read. I didn’t want to put it down. I enjoyed the history and present day connection.

The research that went into this book is awesome. I thought the author did a great job transitioning between the time periods so it was easy to follow. Lisa Grace is a great storyteller, I look forward to more books by her.

About The Author

Lisa Grace’s Angel Series “Angel in the Shadows Book 1”, and “Angel in the Storm, Book 2” are in development for a major movie through Motion Picture Pro Studios, whose owner has been involved in six Academy Award winning films including: “Fargo”, “Shakespeare in Love”, “Life is Beautiful”, and “The Usual Suspects.”
Lisa Grace lives on the waterfront along the West Coast of Florida with her husband and daughter.
“When the summers get too hot, we migrate to our cabin in the northern woods of Wisconsin along with our dwarf Netherland’s albino bunny. We leave our manatee, dolphin, and a wild turkey (what kind of seagull is that?) at home in the Gulf. Somehow they manage to get along without us,” Lisa says. “I also enjoy rescuing gopher tortoises (tip: hold them far out because they tend to pee when you pick them up) and setting them free in a nearby preserve. For the injured ones I know a vet who fiberglasses them back together again.”
Angel in the Ice, Book 3, released April 27th, 2012.
A compilation of the first three books titled “Angel Series (Books 1, 2, & 3)” released May 31st, 2012.
“Angel in the Fire, Book 4” is in the writing stage with an estimated release date of whenever my agents say it is okay (PENDING A PAPERBACK DEAL.) “Angel in the Light, Book 5” will complete the current story arc for the Angel Series.
She has two new series in the developmental stage (Society of the D. E. A. D. and FEUDAL Land); and has released her adult historical thrillers “The 15th Star” and “True Treasure”, plus “30 Minutes of Flash Fiction” by Lisa Grace and Jarrod Nelson.
