AN ABANDONED CHILD…

Alone and afraid, a small boy is found wandering the streets of Los Angeles

A DESPERATE COP…

Detective Rico Santini will do anything to find his niece’s kidnapped child. Anything but break the rules. The one time he took a shortcut, he failed, nearly destroying his family. But Rico will never stop looking for the boy…not even when forced to work with a sexy Beverly Hills attorney who challenges his every move.

A SECRETIVE SOCIALITE…

Once all Macy Capshaw wanted was to have a family. It was not meant to be and now all the attorney wants is to protect children, especially the sad little boy in her charge. That means keeping away media types and insistent detectives. But one detective is stirring up questions about Haven’s Gate where his niece’s baby was born–and where Macy gave birth to a stillborn child. Now she has questions. And the answers put all of them in danger.

Just when sizzling passion between the detective and the socialite ignites, a stunning discovery changes everything. Both are faced with the hardest choices of their lives…and Rico’s decision could save Macy’s life.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Giving this book a 5 star rating because it was so entertaining. It kept me interested page by page – this is something that could really happen. Therefore it makes me happy knowing I’m just reading a story!

Novel ideas come and go but this thoroughly researched investigation is intense beyond borders. Recommended for the fast moving, action-packed storyline. A great read.

*******

Riveting and romantic. With complex characters — one of this author’s specialties — and lots of great action on the page, this is a book that will keep you reading well after the lights were supposed to be turned off!

*******

The Taken was great fun to read. The complex characters felt real. The zesty narrative was funny and moved the story, which was heart-warming, captivating and full of surprises. This one is great enough to read again!

*******

The story seems like it was pulled from the news and deeply investigated. Had to remind myself it is fiction, not true crime. The facts and facets of illegal adoptions are gruesome but fascinating all at once. Seems like Linda Style got very involved in her research, which can make or murder a book. Style did an outstanding job keeping me turning pages and rooting for the good guys.

About The Author

I grew up in Minnesota where I spent many long, cold winters making up stories, dreaming about becoming a writer, and traveling the world. Big imagination. But saner people urged me to attend the University of Minnesota where I studied behavioral science. But my dream of writing persisted, and after a move to Arizona, I earned a degree in journalism from Arizona State University. Since then, I’ve worked in a plethora of jobs from social services to magazine editor, and teaching novel writing at Bootcamp for Novelists. Oh…and writing lots of books…nineteen novels, with over a million sold worldwide in over a dozen different languages. I also wrote and co-wrote two non-fiction books on how to write a novel.

Since my first sale in 1999, my books have won several awards, including the Daphne du Maurier Award, and most recently, the Holt Medallion Award of Merit. I love to read thrillers, suspense, mystery and romance, and I try to write the types of books I like to read, complex, compelling stories with deep characterization…the kind you think about long after turning the last page. I write to entertain, but if I can enrich a few lives along the way, all the better.

When not writing or spending time with my family, I love to travel, take photographs, play tennis, and spend a bunch of time researching my books. Or I’ll grab my camera and head for a hike in the Arizona mountains, the best place on the planet to dream up new stories…and marvel that someone actually pays me to have so much fun. I love to hear from readers and invite you to join me on Facebook and Twitter and visit my website at www.LindaStyle.com.

If you’ve read my books, I thank you, and I’d dearly love it if you could leave me a review. Reviews are a readers’ way of finding an author’s books…and when readers find my books, it keeps me another step away from living in my car.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Linda Style and ENT appreciate it.
