Anora, the shepherdess, finds a half-naked man in her bed, so what’s a woman living alone in a cottage in the Lowlands of Scotland supposed to do? Prod him with her pitchfork to chase him off! Only the man is not just a traveler seeking her bed for a rest—but a wounded Highlander, who fights back, swinging his sword!

Niall MacNeill is searching for a Frenchwoman of nobility to escort to his cousin’s castle for safekeeping, when he and his friend, Gunnolf, are attacked by another Highland clan, seeking the same woman. The other Highlanders wish to sell her to the highest bidder—English or French—it does not matter.

Niall takes refuge in a sheepherder’s cottage to heal up from his wounds and discovers the shepherdess taking care of him may very well be the woman he seeks. He has no intention of doing anything but what his cousin requests of him—ensure her safety on their way to Craigly Castle—but when the lass so bravely wields her pitchfork at him, he is thinking of other, more interesting possibilities.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

I am amazed with the way author Terry Spear comes up with these wonderful, epic romance novels. Her books just sweep you off into another world and the fast moving plot keeps you engaged with these characters that you come to find so fascinating.

OMG I loved this beautiful love story, written by Terry Spear, titled The HIGHLANDER of her Highlanders series. It’s the first book that I read from her and it won’t be the last one. I think that I am now addicted to this author’s books!

There is a lot of action and adventure I this story, but it never overwhelms the romance, I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves medieval highland romance. This is book is the fourth in the series, but it not necessary to read the others to enjoy this one – but you really should, they are all great!

Strong, sassy lady willing to stand on her own and stand beside the man of her choice. Also strong enough to go against what others decided for her but wasn’t right for her.. A good pace, suspenseful. A good read.

The Highlander by Terry Spear is an awesome Scottish romance and another incredible read from Terry! She is one talented author competently writing multiple genres and I relish her tales!

About The Author

USA TODAY bestselling, and award-winning author and creator of award-winning teddy bears who have found homes all over the world including Australia, Switzerland, China, and Russia, and a retired officer of the US Army Reserves, I love to plant trees and flowers and if I could, I’d turn all the deserts green. Time travels are my favorite read, although I love to read most anything, and the Bourne series, Romancing the Stone, Sixth Sense, Legend, The Princess Bride, Stardust, Inkheart, LOTR, and tons of other movies are my favorites.

I love to research, to make urban fantasy worlds real, to bring a little of the paranormal into our world. Even in “Winning the Highlander’s Heart” the heroine feels she is cursed and she has second sight. But I try to do it in a way that feels real, and not fantasized. Currently, I’m working on book 2 of the new jaguar shifter series, but still am working on wolf book number 12 and 13! So more hunky wolves to come! A SEAL in Wolf’s Clothing has just released.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Terry Spear and ENT appreciate it.
