At ten years old, Hadley Dixon’s life changed forever. Since those few tragic weeks, she’s tried to keep the past buried, but old bones have a way of rising up. Grown now, Hadley can’t hide any longer.

Haunted by a boy who never made it home, a woman who sings in moonlight and dances in flames, and the strange, scarred recluse who watches it all from the shadow of the pines, the time has come for Hadley to pay for her sins.

They say the truth will set you free, but sometimes it extracts a terrible price along the way. Is it a price Hadley’s willing to pay?

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

Mystery, suspense, murder, secrets…this book has it all. A great read. The writer pulls you into her world and keeps your attention. I couldn’t put the book down. Highly recommend!

The Grave Tender was such an amazing story. The way the author told the story, pulls you in. We don’t just get the main character’s pov, but so many other’s. It’s rare to have a book that does that. The secrets are shocking. The truths are heartbreaking, the story telling breathtaking. I look forward to reading more from this author.

A thoughtful, painstakingly told story of lives found in every town everywhere. Told through the eyes of a good person who is simply trying to live her life. Going home takes her to places that are unexpected, and will take you there with her. A story well told and worth your time. Enjoy.

I’ve read this book twice so far and both times my dinner has burned on the stove because I couldn’t put it down. Always a sign of a good book! The characters are realistic, easy to identify with, and engrossing. The plot is superb, mixed with horror, love, laughter, and suspense. Highly recommended!

Once started, I could not put it down until finished. Outstanding craftsmanship that felt like reading a diary of one’s own personal and painful history. A story that will stay with me for a very, very long time.
