In the North Pacific Ocean there is an island that has been forgotten by mankind. Living there are men who have committed all manner of moral crimes.

Deceived by an elaborate ruse, they wake deep within fortress walls where they are tortured, brainwashed, and then trained to physical perfection. When they are finally released to the island’s hills and abandoned streets, they are told one simple rule: Survive long enough and you will be sent home.

The island’s only other inhabitants are women.

In “Man Hunt”, survival of the fittest means being literally hunted. It is “Lord of the Flies” meets hard-core feminism, because it tells both sides of the story.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

I love stories that take place on islands. For some reason it’s always a winning setting for a suspenseful story. This book delivers on its premise and is a real page turner. Glad the book is part of a series… looking forward to the next installment.

Suspenseful, literate and very tough to put down, Man Hunt is a satisfying blend of action and character study. I’m glad to know it’s the first of a trilogy–looking forward to the next one!

Turn out the lights, curl up in a comfortable space, free yourself from distraction and allow K. Edwin Fritz’s thriller “Man Hunt” to hypnotize you with horrific scenes of beatings, torture, and slow dehumanization on Monroe Island, an isolated island long forgotten by the outside world.

Today, most horror / thriller novels are based on a very “Gore-driven” path. The plots are predictable. The characters are flat. The Cliffhangers are more so mild bunny hills and it can become a challenge to finish reading. NOT MAN HUNT. Praise the great mind of K. Edwin Fritz… for this novel is a Thriller of SUBSTANCE.

I wasn’t sure what to expect of this book, but what I read was definitely a surprise. This was so original. The entire thing made my gut hurt as I was reading it, which in horror is quite a good thing. This is K. Fritz’s best work to date.

About The Author

Keith Edwin Fritz entered this world on Halloween. The year, 1974, was the same as when Stephen Edwin King published his first novel. Keith prefers to think neither the date nor their middle names were a coincidence.

Today Keith teaches 7th Grade Language Arts and writes to his heart’s content during his “spare time”. The best of these moments are nearly always by moonlight. The worst of them are also by moonlight.

Keith lives with his wife, Corina, in Hillsborough, NJ.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – K. Edwin Fritz and ENT appreciate it.
