When Kyle Winslow escapes from custody and targets everyone Special Agent Steve Williams cares about, a turn of fate brings Steve face to face with Ty Aris – a criminal mastermind topping the FBI’s most wanted list. Torn between justice and vengeance, Steve must make a decision. Join alliances with Ty, or arrest him and lose his best chance to catch the bastard who destroyed his family.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Taylor has a gift for ratcheting up severe anxiety and suspense. The plot snares your emotions and takes you along for the ride. Each chapter feels more urgent than the last, the action and drama is thick and fast with the body count piling up.

This book goes where few venture, mixing a crime thriller with supernatural forces, it’s physically plausible and believable, it was good, it was gripping, and I could not put it down. I read it all in one sitting and could still read more.

It’s sick, it’s twisted, it’s beyond demented, and I guarantee you will not be able to put it down.

Another five out of five for JE Taylor!

More fast moving adventure. Steve Williams is a great lead character. I look for more from J. E. Taylor.

To be honest, I enjoyed this story even more than Vengeance which is a lot to say because I thought Vengeance was a book that rarely comes around, but there was something extra in Hunting Season that tied many things perfectly. The loose ends that do exist are done so, so the reader will want to pick up the next book. There is a beautiful connection from one book to the next that flows seamlessly and makes me wonder what is next in store for agent Steve Williams.

If you haven’t had the chance to pick up any of J.E. Taylor’s books I suggest you give her a try especially if you like crime novels and some supernatural fiction thrown in. There is much to like about this realistic fiction and it is an experience you will never forget.

About The Author

J.E. Taylor is a writer, a publisher, an editor, a manuscript formatter, a mother, a wife and a business analyst, not necessarily in that order.

She first sat down to seriously write in February of 2007 after her daughter asked:

“Mom, if you could do anything, what would you do?”

From that moment on, she hasn’t looked back and now her writing resume includes six+ published novels along with several short stories on the virtual shelves including a few within eXcessica anthologies.

Her first book, Dark Reckoning – released on July 5, 2010 – introduced Special Agent Steve Williams to the masses.

Pamela Jenewein – Romance At Heart Review:
“J E Taylor writes a thrilling and engaging paranormal horror, “Dark Reckoning”. The absorbing, fluid plot builds slowly towards its divergent terror-driven climax. As sturdy, forthright characters convey the story’s age-old message; stay out of the woods…and while you’re at it, the water too.”

Ty Drago, Editor of Allegory and author of PHOBOS:
“J.E. Taylor has penned a tale of terror worthy of Lovecraft. The strong characters, edgy atmosphere and unflinching narrative hooked me from the first word and kept me riveted all the way through to DARK RECKONING’s horrifying conclusion – a solid piece of storytelling!”

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – J.E. Taylor and ENT appreciate it.
