Can love survive secrets, lies, and murder?

Attorney Gail Martin’s life can’t get any worse. Her client has been convicted, her law license suspended, and her inbox inundated with a strange riddle. But things start looking up when a handsome cop saves her from the press.

Undercover FBI agent Sam Newton is in Houston to catch drug dealing cops while pretending to be one. His identity must be kept top secret, but his attraction to Gail can’t be concealed or ignored. He’s tried, repeatedly.

As their love deepens, Gail confides she doesn’t believe the man in jail for her mother’s murder is guilty. She and Sam investigate her mother’s case, hitting nothing but dead ends. When tragedy strikes, Gail is left with only the email riddle, which leads her on a deadly quest for the truth about her mother’s life and death—if she can stay alive long enough to solve it.

This is the first book in the Undercover Intrigue Series. They are all stand-alone books, each about FBI agents who risk their lives for the job and sacrifice everything for love.

Here’s what the reviewers have to say:

This is a terrific read whose characters you’ll remember long after you’ve turned the last page.

Tess St. John’s stories are a delight to read. In “Don’t Let it Show”, Miss St. John again offers characters who come alive on the pages and worm their way into your heart. Gail, a sharp attorney with a soft heart can’t help but fall for Sam, a sexy undercover agent in policeman guise. Instead of throwing them between the sheets early on, Tess takes the reader through a long, sweet courtship, where their desire for each other grows until we’re all screaming for them to finally come together as a couple. Thrown into the mix are other memorable characters you could swear live in your neighborhood, along with a suspenseful plot with lots of twists and turns.

About The Author

I’m not your “normal” writer. I didn’t aspire from a young age to become a writer. My last day of high school, my English teacher said, “There is a book in each of you. Whether it’s a how-to, non-fiction, fiction—find that book.” I thought, right.

My hubby reads a lot, so I began to pick up the books he’d buy—mysteries and thrillers. But he traveled, so I only read while he was in town…too scared to sleep by myself. LOL. Years later, hubby and I planned a trip to an amusement park with the kids, and since I can’t ride roller coasters anymore, I went to B&N and picked up a book. A romance. I read all day and stayed up most of the night to finish the book. After that, I read every romance I could find.

I’d always kept my teacher’s words in the back of my mind, “There is a book in you,” and sat down one day to write a scene that kept playing in my mind. The floodgates on my imagination opened and before I knew what a critique partner was, I’d written four books (I use the word “written” very loosely, they needed a tremendous amount of work).

I never planned it, never dreamed about it, never expected to get such joy from it, but writing has become a vital part of my life.

Being the youngest of five children (my hubby the youngest of seven), much of my writing centers around family and relationships. I thank my parents for their example of how to live a life of love and happiness. And I thank my siblings, in-laws, nephews, nieces, and friends for their constant support and encouragement.

I live near Houston, Texas, with my real-life hero husband (the man is my inspiration each and every day) and our two children—who fill my heart to overflowing. I am blessed beyond belief and tickled to be able to write the stories of my heart.

Thank you for considering today’s Book Of The Day – Tess St. John and ENT appreciate it.
