Trust Betrayed

On temporary medical leave, nursing gunshot wounds received from a run in with a dangerous serial killer a few months prior, Parole Agent Paul Dodge was looking forward to a long peaceful holiday weekend. But a surprise visit from his old commanding officer put any plans he might’ve had on hold. The man’s niece, an army veteran, died suddenly. Lead poisoning, from a bullet to the head.

Dodge soon finds himself in Dallas, Texas, where he quickly runs afoul of police and a powerful government defense contractor. Betrayed, alone, and on the run from a murder he didn’t commit, the veteran parole agent must dig deep into the unsavory world of hired killers, corrupt politicians, and international smugglers to uncover the truth and clear his name.
