Secrets lie at the bottom of North Tenmile Lake, Oregon.

Ian Kelly rents a cottage on the water to pull him and Samantha away from the heat. Now, he’s hearing rumors that his landlord, Walter Ponce, may have chained a man to the riverbed.

That’s alright because Ian is sure Walter Ponce has heard some rumors too. About a mysterious family involved in a gangland shootout only months ago.

Still, Oregon should have been a nice place for Ian to retire if the CIA didn’t come knocking. And with them, a young assassin who botched a job in the city. Needs to lay low with Ian. Sure, if it means Ian can stay off the books for a while.

But Ian’s employers aren’t the only ones who followed his trail north.
